In order to hear the TV sound through my Sony HT system, I had to buy a AV 3.5mm to Stereo RCA male cable, connecting from the TV audio out to the HT. This is not listed as option in the handbook. I had to call Sony Tech for help. Maybe this will be helpful to someone.

Bought this TV for daughter as Christmas gift. Husband and friend hung tv on living room wall without my daughter knowing about it. What a surprise when she hot home with her two kids. She called her dad and said someone had broke into her house and put up a big screen tv. She had a small tv that only worked if you beat on the side of it. The tv was recommended by the friend who helped put it up. He knows a lot about Sony tv's and has his for over six years without any problems. If you want one then go for it.

My only disappointment with this product, is the amount of outlets available. It only allows for one additional piece of equipment that can be added. Otherwise, I am completely satisfied. The picture is amazing, sound is excellent, and the TV offers many options.

I am told the amount of outlets is limited, to keep costs down.

I looked at every model of TV and did a lot of research before I decided on this Sony 42in. The picture on this Sony is the best among all of the TV models out there. I watch a lot of sports and movies and this TV is perfect for this and any HD shows. The colors and detail are really clear on this set. If you see a 40 inch set next to this 42 inch there is a big difference in size even though its only 2 inches. The only negative is the sound on this set. I noticed a vibration buzz from the speakers if the volume was up. The problem with all thin LED TVs is that the sound quality on them suffer vs the old tube TVs. I plan on just getting a sound bar to fix this issue. Note that this TV is 60hz refresh rate and not 120 but I didn't notice any problems with blur.

We liked the picture in the Club better than the Vizio we had researched and intended to buy. The TV picture is adjustable so it works to adjust the picture for different viewing or it blurs with motion. We don't have HD service yet but the picture is very good on HD videos.It is really 60 Hz and not 120 Hz and it is edge lit LED and not full LED so the packaging is misleading but it is satisfactory for us. This is our first thin screen TV and we like it for the size and price. Also $52 less than other stores. Would give it 5 stars if it had more than 2 HDMI ports
