Spin Master Games - Pop Stream Board Game is rated 2.9 out of 5 by 71.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's pretty fun We received this game for free through BzzAgent. Up to 8 people could play this game, but only 2 can play as well. Movie trivia is something our entire family can enjoy, especially because we like to throw around movie quotes in everyday conversation. You have to download an app in order to play, which did not work well. We ended up going back to the menu on the app and read the electronic version of the directions. All of the players had to take a selfie to begin, which kind of freaked out my parents at first. The stand held the iPad just fine, However could have been easily knocked over. The game was fun to play for everyone. A drawback of the game was if the iPad or the game board was moved from the players trying to hit the button first, it would not always accept the answer until you realigned the board. Sometimes this would result in it timing out and the other team getting the answer. We also had an issue with the players being able to hit the button without getting a hand between the iPad and the game board which would cause an issue. Overall the game was really fun and everyone had a great time! We will definitely play it again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Different take on a trivia game! Pretty fun, I know a lot more about movies than I thought I did! You download the app on your tablet and then play the game. Basically just a trivia game about movies and it uses the camera on your tablet to see what you are selecting on the game board. I only played this with one other person but you can make teams out of it too. I received this product for free in exchange for reviewing it. I did not find it difficult to set up, as others have posted, but maybe it's because I used a newer ipad.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fun, but glitchy I received this game from a BzzAgent campaign. It is fun once you get it started, but, it is really glitchy. It also gives you a lot of trouble when you have to align the board with the ipad camera; it can only be used on a table.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible alignment. The game has really good questions and seems very fun to play, but the alignment issue make it too hard to play. I have an IPad 2 and it will show that the tablet and board are aligned and then to answer the question tell you to realign again and again and again. If the tablet and board are not aligned you can't answer the questions. It is too frustrating.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Enjoyed it but frustrated I received this game from BzzAgent. I was really excited to get it as my husband and I are huge movie buffs and he’s a trivia superstar. The app is supposed to be compatible on your Android or Apple tablet only. When I went to the play store it showed it was compatible for Kindle Fire so that’s what I downloaded it on. It needs an internet connection to stream the movie clips which wasn’t a problem since my husband and I were trying it out at home. After downloading the app we had to set up our Kindle Fire in the stand provided with the front facing camera so that it could see the board game. That meant the cover had to be removed which I wasn’t particularly fond of but not a huge deal. We then had to align the board a certain distance away from the Kindle and within the lines shown on the screen so it took manipulating to get the camera and board aligned properly. That was the most time consuming part of the set up. We initially set it up on our coffee table but I think that would pose an issue if you were trying to play on anything other than a hard surface. Once we got everything set up the game was really fun and interactive. We had two teams and each choose our team name from the random words provided. One round I was Magic Sugar and another Mighty Beast so you can see how funny and crazy you could get with it. All the questions were multiple choices except for the last question in each round, which is a true/false game. The trivia questions weren’t too easy or extremely difficult which we were fans of since my husband is a hard core trivia person and I am more of a beginner. We thought the variety of movie clips were great and really could be fun for everyone. One of the main complaints for us was that the camera or app wasn’t recognizing the Blue bidding token worth a thousand points. So if we wanted to wager a thousand points on answer A we couldn’t. We weighed each betting token to see if that made a difference but they were all the same weight. We later figured out that if we placed the token on the answer below the one we wanted it would recognized it. For example if you wanted to select answer A, we had to place the Blue token on B and most of the time it would recognize it. We did not have this problem with any of the other tokens. Other than that very frustrating issue we had a great time playing. The concept is good and if we can get the tokens to work right we’ll be inviting our friends and family to play along.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Something New To Do I received this game from BzzAgent for free in exchange for a review. Myself and my family enjoyed this game. It was fun having an activity everyone could do together instead of sitting in front of the tv. The game is a little confusing and annoying trying get set up just right and getting the lighting and alignment all correct, but once everything is set it is a blast. I love movies and movie trivia and the questions were all pretty reasonable as far as difficulty. I really liked the ability to buzz in and have the game be able to know when your team buzzes. It makes it like a real game show. I would recommend this game because it is fun and gets everyone involved together.
