Love the color sticks to hair

I LOVE THIS STUFF!!! Used it for about 8 years. My natural color is black. Now that I'm 66yrs old, I have an increasing amount of white. Splat makes my black hair darker and my white hair a vibrant purple. It looks as if I paid hundreds to get this variegated coloring, when all I did was splat it on %26 rub it in. It lasts 6 months. It fades slightly (I use cheap shampoo) but the 1st 3 months, in sunlight, my hair glows!!!! This stuff is AMAZING!!!

Used8years, always impressed

I'm a first time user, so I didn't know for brighter color amethyst, your hair color should not be naturally brunette. Your color needed to make this amethyst pop is really light brown or blonde.I did have blonde highlights throughout my hair and this is where this dye brand worked really well.

I have been using Color Splat for about 4 years now and like to play around with the different colors. One of my favorite things about this product is how easily I can blend them together to get even more customized colors! My current color is actually a blend of the Midnight Amethyst and the Purple Desire after bleaching. If you don't wash your hair daily and use color control hair products the color lasts forever! I know by this summer I will be changing it up again and am looking forward to seeing what I come up with this time :)

I used this product for the first time. I want to try colors in my hair but I didnt want to bleach or do something super permanent until I knew I would like it. I bought 2 colors and did highlights with them. I did it most myself with the help of my boyfriend for the top and back of spots I missed. I as really impressed with the outcome and much rather do this myself then to pay crazy prices at salon. I will most likely have to do it more often but worth it for the price savings and outcome. I will definitely be trying other colors! Thanks for making a great easy to use product

30 day no bleach

If you don't read the instructions correctly your to blame not the product. i say this for all the bad reviews i just read . When I used this product I did it in my living room and NO, I did not mess up my carpet; unless you are a 5yr old you should be able to use without any problem. I did use vaseline for my face and neck . I use disposable latex gloves only because I have long nails :). Color was vibrant and I just loved it . yes, the color does bleed a lot but I just spray bleach after i shower and that does for me no mess in my bath tub. ( i have a white bath tub ). I blow dry my hair after i wash it , that solves the issue of the color bleeding but really one time i left my hair air dry and it did not stain me. so yes it has a few things but nothing you can not handle if you really love the look

AMAZING COLOR RED RUBY

i've been using this product for years and have always loved the color and feel of my hair after. you must use vasoline on your face ear and neck before applying this product and have astringent for after you rinse. the astringent actually removes the dye from your stained skin. for my tiles in the shower i use scrubbing bubbles and it's off.

great product if you educate yourself

I used this on my already dyed-red hair to make it more vivid for my Poison Ivy Comic Con costume. My real hair color is dark brown with a touch of auburn. After getting it professionally dyed dark red, it faded a great deal in two weeks so I needed something to brighten up the red. Midnight Ruby gave me my perfect shade of red with no pink or purple. Zero smell, no irritation, and it hasn't started to fade much after ten days. I will absolutely be using this again!

This was my perfect Poison Ivy Red!

if it touches skin it stains as do most dyes but this one last a very long time its been over a week and im still stained also when touching hair or fixing it for the day styling it comes off on your hands. im talking a week later after dying if i touch my hair my hands become purple/blue as do under my nails.

My wife and I dye our hair all the time and have used several different products over the years but this was the absolute worst one on the market. We experienced the same things that were mentioned in the other reviews,  the staining of the skin, the not at all " vibrant " color,  even dyed my wife's hair a second time, leaving the product in way longer than recommended and it still SUCKS . We wouldn't recommend this product to ANYONE
