Splat Rebellious Color Bleach & Color Kit - Luscious Raspberries is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 165.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tips about Splat Below is an overview, including how to deal with stain, and bleach. And removing Splat. Over the past decade using Splat, I've been Pink, Purple, Blue, Green and Blond using the provided bleach. The interesting thing about Splat dyes is that they are not a developer based hair color, they are more like a hair stain or paint and because they are all basically made from the same stuff you can mix colors together to get you own shades. Splat dye itself is not harmful to hair and can be left in for 24 hours, but I would suggest no longer than overnight to reach a really brilliant shade of color. Most will stick just fine in 40 minutes. Most shades of Splat are best achieved with a light blonde or very light brown starting hair color. Although their new line of MIDNIGHT shades are meant specifically for putting on top of brunette shade hair without bleach first if that's the way you want to go. I have tested most of the dyes over medium brown hair except that new midnight line, and can say the others do not come out as bright unless you bleach to a light brown (at least) first. You can also do a lighter color first like pink or blue envy and add something like purple or green over it too get an interesting mixture of shade. Tips/Warnings. EMERALD : if you're using Emerald over unprocessed medium brown hair, most of it is going to wash away. I've found that Emerald does not like to stick to hair unprocessed at all. If you bleach to a light yellow blonde, you'll get a lighter green and not at all anything as dark as the picture on the box. I would suggest bleaching to a light blonde, and then applying blue envy diluted with conditioner, or a very quick wash of light brown so that you have a processed base of color for the Emerald to stick to. I haven't tried it this way, but having seen how all the dyes interact I believe you would get the best green doing it that way. Or try doing a blue first and going green when it fades. The great thing about splats blues us that their true blues they don't away closer to purple or green so you can add those colors over it and not have major issues. BLUE If your looking for a true blue, Smurf blue, like blue crayon color BLUE ENVY. If your looking for a mid range blue and not quite a primary blue BLUE SAPPHIRE. If you want a bright but darker shade of blue than blue crayon go with MIDNIGHT INDIGO. All of their blue shades look great over and under purple. BLEACH Splat bleach is like industrial cleaner. If your are going blonde from a medium or dark brown it WILL turn your hair yellow. It will also kill your hair. And it also takes about ten minutes to work, NOT the suggested times on the box which are much longer. If you want to prevent frying your hair good and dead, then apply the bleach with a ton of conditioner to damp hair. I can say that doing do with shampoo will not protect your hair, but conditioner will. Also check it every 5 minutes. If the top of your head is a bright platinum, wash it out. You can re-apply the bleach to the darker portions of your hair to even out the differences in shade. STAIN Splat stains everything it touches. If you get it on a wall, a mirror, countertops, a sink in it's pure goop form, wipe it off immediately. If it gets on towels or clothes, it isn't coming out. Splat stains skin regardless of what your do, you can take preventive measures and try using Vaseline around your hair line and your ears, but from experience, it doesn't do much. If you have stained your hands, arms, face, scalp TOOTHPASTE is what I've found to be the only magical eraser. Apply and rub it into your skin where the stain is and let it sit for up to ten minutes then wipe it off with a wet cloth and the color on your skin will come right off. I've used normal and whitening toothpaste, and I've even massaged it into the part in the hair and my hair line. It won't take the dye out if your hair but it will lift the color from your skin. Scalp staining usually goes away in about three days. You'll start feeling your head itch and scratching the itch, your hands will come away with color flakes, at that point lather up in the shower and go to town scratching, you'll get the rest of it off. DIDNT LIKE THE COLOR? If your choose a shade and you really don't like the color, a beauty product meant to remove hair color from hair is not going to work. Splat isn't a hair color, it's a hair paint/stain. I've found that unless you're dealing with red or black you can put blue over the others and the blue will saturate whatever was there before. The new Midnight Colors are very good at covering whatever color accident you have underneath. If you are intending to go back to your natural color, I suggest bleaching to a light blonde shade. But even then, you will be a very light blonde in combination of whatever Splat shade you had used. Unless your are trying to go a blonde color, bleaching out Splat and re applying a medium natural shade of brown or just doing black right over, is the way to go. You will not get your natural shade back untill you let it grow out and chop off the processed hair. Happy color changing! The blue in the picture is Midnight Indigo over a failed/very light Emerald, over the Blonde.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super long lasting In October I had gotten my hair professionally died red and it faded almost completely in a week, so I bought Splat Rebellious Color - Luscious Raspberries, and re-died it myself. It is now March and I am going to buy another box to touch up my roots as it has barely faded even in the 5 months since I died it.
