Stack-On 16" Hip Roof Tool Box is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cool 'lil toolbox I work as a Signal Technician for the Railroad. I needed a small toolbox to house my bonding equipment. It had to be metal. I got tired of making several trips back-'N-forth to my truck whenever I had some bonding work to do on the tracks. This 'lil gem has a nice, hipped-roof design that enables you to store {slightly} taller equipment on the pull-out tray; the lid will still close. The only other toolbox that I have seen (that I would've purchased over this one) was the Craftsman 16" model (it's pull-out tray was nicely compartmentalized). But, you had to order it online (like this one), and the Craftsman costs a little more (probably, due to it's baked-on finish). The Stack-On pull-out tray does not drop to the bottom of the toolbox, like some others. Granted, this is by no means the "ultimate" toolbox. But, it is extremely useful for your smaller, task-specific jobs. Keeping that in mind, you'd be hard-pressed to find something of this quality for the same price. I've already customized my toolbox with some reflective tape, and it looks pefect for taking out to the tracks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from American-made quality cheaper than imported junk I don't know how Stack-On can make these boxes in the USA and price them so competitively. This is a very well-made box. It will easily hold 40 lbs of tools. The tray is plastic, but really, how much wear-and-tear does the tray inside the box get? Buy two or three of them for the price of one larger imported Craftsman box. My only complaint is that the packaging is terrible. Even though it was shipped inside a bag in a cardboard box, both boxes I bought were scratched. In the end, it's a toolbox--it will get scratched on the first use, but whether you're buying a new truck or a sledgehammer, it should leave the store without any defects.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent tool box for the price. I initially bought one of these toolboxes at my local Walmart. I have since bought several more (online) as gifts for friends. Not a heavy duty or professional grade item, but it is a sturdy metal box and well worth the price. I only wish my local store still carried them in stock.
