Description & Features+

Stamina® InMotion RowerThe Stamina InMotion Rower is compact with a small footprint and makes a perfect addition to any home gym. The InMotion Rower has solid steel construction, a comfortable stitched seat, and foam hand grips. The oversized foot plates pivot to help maintain the natural rowing motion during your workout. The InTouch fitness monitor will keep you motivated to reach your fitness goals by tracking strokes/minute, count, time, calories burned, and will scan all features during your workout.Rowing on the InMotion Rower is as easy as 1-2-3. The continuous, non-impact movement of rowing can be broken down into three phases: the starting point or catch phrase, followed by the drive phase and lastly the finish. In the catch phase, knees are bent with shins vertical and shoulders and arms reaching forward. This phase mimics the point where the oars are being placed in the water. The drive phase is initiated by the legs. As they extend, arms remain straight until the knees are mostly extended, then the elbows flex bringing the oar handles into the upper stomach. In the finish, the legs are fully extended, shoulders are back, elbows are flexed, and the oar handle is against the upper stomach. For the recovery, the knees don't flex until after the hands pass over knees as the arms and shoulders reach forward to begin Catch Phase again.

Stamina InMotion Rower is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 154.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I really like it! This little rowing machine is a great unit for a beginner! I was badly out of shape when I got this and find I really enjoy using it. The unit arrived in good condition and took 30 minutes to assemble with the tools provided. Nice and small, lightweight, and is easy to get out of the way when needed. And quiet... great for using while watching TV. At first I found the workouts rather deceptive, in a good way. Located in a cool basement my unit acts more like a weight machine at first, but after a few minutes the cylinder warms up and it actually gets easier to pull more reps. This allows me to pick up the speed up a bit and keep the aerobics where they belong. I’ve found that watching TV while working out keeps my mind occupied so that I’m not thinking about the workout, this allows me to fall into a natural speed that works really well for me. I started out at 15 minutes of what I thought was an easy workout and was surprised to find my legs were quite mushy when I got off the unit. Later that day my back started to stiffen and arms were a little sore. It really is a great overall workout machine. I now do 20 minutes a day but occasionally find I’ve done an entire sit-com. For some reason I find this is a machine I want to use, not just have to use. It’s only been a month but my clothes are getting looser and I have little more spring in my step. If you are already in pretty decent shape I’d recommend a rower with the magnetic resistance and programmed workouts. But if you are a beginner you won’t go wrong with this machine. Highly recommended!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! Great exercise and for the money. It's super quiet for apartment living, and gives cross-fit training, works all major muscles. Thank you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for the price. This rowing machine is sturdy although the computer could be better. Their customer service is fantastic, I had some trouble putting it together so I called them and left a message. They called me back immediately and also shipped the part which was for some reason not fitting well. Overall a good value for money!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stamina InMotion Rower Easy to assemble (very good instruction booklet), and the parts are heavy duty. The seat is a bit slick, so be careful using the machine till you get used to it. The pull bar (handlebar) was difficult to fit through the hole on the bar, and I needed to use a rubber mallet to finish putting it together. Good buy, works as described.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well made and great customer service. I've only had my rower for a week now but so far I really like it. Once I placed my order it came very quickly. I read the directions first and laid out all of the parts. I noticed that I was missing a couple of screws and two of the rollers on the seat were warped. I immediately emailed customer service and within 24 hours my parts were on their way. I have to say that this was the best customer service I have ever experienced! Once I got the parts, which was in two days, I put this little baby together and only needed my husband to hand me tools. So ladies you can do this in about 30 minutes. It comes with all the tools you need except I did need a mallet to put the handle bars together tightly. I have used my rower almost every day now. It is quiet and moves very smoothly. The seat wheels will kind of squeek if you aren't situated in the center of the seat. Readjust yourself a little and that goes away. I haven't had it off the lowest setting yet, but I can tell I will be able to use this for a very long period of time with all of the settings. The only cons I have are the seat isn't super cushy. It could use a little more foam padding and the handle bar grips are kind of rough and I did get a blister from the first use. However, I feel that these are very minor issues. That being said I'm really glad I purchased this rower and given the excellent customer service I'm not dissappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fits my need perfectly I read all the reviews before buying, and have been pleased that all held true. Assembly was straightforward, with all tools and bits and pieces clearly labeled and assembly clearly charted. The resistance bolt screw came off once, probably not tightened enough to start with -- but construction is robust, no problem till nut back on. The video about how to make strokes really helped. I don't like to risk using an exercise tool improperly. Many many muscles get a good workout, I work up a little sweat and know lungs are involved. The reach and seat distance capacity is fine for 5'9". Machine is low to ground, but workable. I love the sturdy compactness, and the easy way it raises to store upright in an incredibly small footprint -- perfect for my apartment. It is also light enough for me to lug up three flights of stairs myself. It's enjoyable to use, I look forward to it, and love the way I feel good after. One thing I am glad was not printed in online specs was the California chemical warning, because that may have prevented me from getting this really useful, sturdy and safe machine to help me keep fit through the cold of winter when I can't get out on my bike or enjoy walking in cold/wet. The Stamina website explains the California blanket requirement for the hazard label -- and I'm not seeing any part of this rower having a chemical output. There's just the piston, and that's mechanical, and hard plastic end-bolt caps, and that's just safety. In all, this is one of my most useful and best purchases ever!
