Rated 1 out of 5 by from It has non stick coating, and it peels off It is a terrible product. Cast iron shouldn't be coated with non stick. Especially this wok has very low quality coating, which starts peeling off after couple of uses. I even tried removing the coating, but doesn't work. I followed the instructions when using, but it's of poor quality.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My BEST Wok for stir-frying I have been using this wok for 2 years. In my wok collection, this is the best one for stir-frying. Same as treating other cast iron skillets, you have to dry the wok completely every single time after use. Otherwise it will rust in 10 minutes. There is NO non-stick coating except a thin layer of oil coating that is supposed to be removed before initial use. You need to continously season it for weeks so it becomes naturally non-stick. I use this wok mainly for stir-frying, foods always slide easily. Once seasoned properly, this layer of oil polymers won't easily come off. In fact, mine never peel off. There are some highlights making it my go-to wok for stirfrying: 1) its weight seems perfect to me that I can easily handle single-handed while tossing or sliding out the food; 2) The interior is smoothly curved and its flat bottom perfectly matches my ceramic cook top. This makes it so easy to stirfry and clean; 3) It heats up rapidly and retents heat quite well. I don't find any odd hot or cold-spot after 40s preheating on high heat. Its 3-mm wall (the recent version became a bit thinner and lighter) won't give when pressed and its thick bottom won't disform under high heat (my expensive French-made country wok did). I use an infrared thermostat to measure the surface temperature. It quickly reaches 375-400 degree F within 40 seconds on my stove and adding 2-person portioned food to the preheaded wok doesn't drop much temperature. That's excellent character for a good stirfrying. 4) It is perfectly sized. For stirfrying, you dont put too much food in it, neither put very wet food into it, otherwise it becomes boiling, no more stir-frying. Since it is made of cast iron, this wok is apparently not designed for boiling acid (tomato) soup or cooking large amount food -- you leave that kinds of tasks to laminated stainless steel cookware, or you may see discoloration. 5) It's inexpensive but the quality and design is good IMHO (Except the fact that its handle is not ovenproof enough, that's why I only give it 4 stars). I like the shape of ergonomic handle though, it has a special design that your thumb can firmly hold the situation when you tossing food vigorously. It's pure joy to stir-fry my favourite dish on this now non-stick wok! Every time I can taste the wok 'hei' that makes the food so delicious. And cleaning is always easily done in one minute. Just to make sure to clean the warm wok under HOT running water with a sturdy nylon brush and then reheat the pad dried wok to 350 F right away to evaporate all the hidden moist so it won't rust!
