I purchased three of these for Christmas presents for my two daughters and myself, and I tried mine before Christmas. It to make homemade potatoe chips and also potatoe fries and it worked beautifully, much better than my old one, I found it safer.

Perfect French fries!

This Pro Mandoline lives up to its name. First time using it I was amazed at how easy it was to slice cabbage, tomatoes and onions. Even slicing leftover roast beef for our sandwiches.
I haven't tried the grater yet, but to be sure it will save my finger tips. Thank you Starfrit for another great product.

Security!

I am very happy with ordering through Walmart online.ca because I was simple and easy to put the things in that I wanted to purchase and it was nice to just be able to put my credit card and it was delivered within a couple days which was really shocking to me.also I really love the option of putting in your email for product that is not there and then you send us an email about it. I found this really helpful with up a product that I wanted. I'm still waiting on another email back for them to be in stock but I think that's a great option to have there.  All in all I will definitely be ordering from Walmart.ca online again because it was nice simple I didn't have to travel a credit card with simple the delivery people were great and it was done nice and easy. My order review

I bought this almost a month ago. It was a great price. I sliced carrots for Christmas Eve dinner. I found it a bit awkward to use. It kept slipping off the guide, but it did do a good job. Maybe I will do better the more I use it

easy to clean

Does the job. The dial allows one to easily adjust the thickness of the slice. On the thinnest slice 1/16"; it did not slice evenly.

Easy to use

This mandolin is not really easy to use!! I would say that the regular cut in slice is done well but the hole with the handle is not so big so you must already prepare your vegetables in advance either cut them in 2 minimally or in 4! - Oh, my God. The blades that come out for the cut in Julienne are not really effective, the blades do not come out completely which makes the cut this difficult. For the rapping part, it's still a good rap! !! Wash well, do not take up space once fold! All in all, I think this object is useful when you need to make a big meal, but for daily use... for my part it is more bulky than anything else!

All in all

Mandoline not made for course vegetables, as difficult to grade cabbage, leaves get stuck between slide & base, & than you end up having to chop up a 1/4 of the cabbage by hand. Slicing works great. Very sharp so caution is required. Unfortunately I've now used it otherwise I would return it to invest in a better quality mandoline which can handle grading & slicing lettuce.

Small Jobs Can Be Handled, but NOT much more

The vegetables must not be too hard, not too soft not too big, etc. Not very recommendable.

Really not terrible.

It's OK, but for the money, not great. The vegetable pusher is really badly designed, only handles easily mid-size carrots and mid-size zucchini.  Anything bigger, even a small potato does not fit.
