Description & Features+

"Stephen King's It" - "It" can be anything. A fanged monster that won't stay on the movie screen. Something ominous lurking in the basement. No matter what your biggest fear is, no one knows "It" better than Stephen King. Based on King's 1986 bestseller, "It" is a jittery, jolting excursion into personal fear starring Harry Anderson, Annette' O'Toole, John Ritter, and Richard Thomas. A malevolent force in a small New England town takes the shape of a clown (Tim Curry), but he's not clowning around. Instead, he terrifies youngsters and brings some to their untimely doom - until some wily kids fight back. The evil resurfaces 30 years later: meaner, angrier, deadlier. And friends who vividly remember youthful terrors reunite to battle "It".

Ratings & Reviews+

Stephen King's It is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 90.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good price for good fun! I wanted to see the 2 night original again before the new movie version is released. Is it cheesy and a bit hokey? Absolutely. Are the special effects lame compared to today's? You bet but there is no one who does a creepy, menacing clown better than Tim Curry. They should have stuck with him and skipped the monster. The young actors do a great job and their story is the best part of the series even though I love Richard Thomas. So good to see him, John Ritter, Tim Reid and the rest again. I highly recommend listening to the commentary especially the second half. It is fun listening to them talk about the production. Just as a heads up since I saw so many comments about only getting half the movie, the DVD is two-sided. Flip it over for the second half.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Movie Good movie, but at the end of part one it just ends, and left no indication that the disc needed to be turned onto the other side for part two. Other than that, everything was just fine.
