I'm not using it on the side of bed as manufacturer expectations. I have a 15 year old dog the manages fall off the foot of the bed.  Don't ask me how he rolls out of a square dog bed and plop!  He's on the floor yelping and barking until I am awoken to rescue him. We have only had to rescue him once with this bedrail. You have to be mindful and make sure it hasn't moved too  far from the bed or there might be another plot and rescue. Without this bedrail I don't think I'd sleep as well at night.

This was easy to put together. Works great to keep 3 yr old from rolling out of bed on full size bed.

The price was good and this one was tall enough to come up higher over my mattress than some of the others I looked at. The fold down feature didnt work for me because my bed wasn't tall enough for it to fold all the way down without it hitting the floor.

It works great for my wiggle worm grandson

Great for keeping the little one in his bed, do not enjoy the effort in trying to get it out from between the mattress and boxspring to prop up, either slides all the way out of the holder or you are shoving at the mattress to allow for room to place into the locking holders.

It works. It doesn't cover end to end so that's annoying cause this is only good if your kid doesn't move or wakes up in the middle of the night

Mixed feelings

Safe but the barrier models with bars that slip under the mattress are better. This one has "straps" and large pieces of plastics that must be fixed under the mattress (on both sides). The result: the 2 edges of the mattress are lifted... and huge pieces of plastic stick out of the bed...

I returned this right away as soon as I read the manual. It needs 9" of space on each side of it, which is not mentioned anywhere before purchasing it, and then it did not fit the bed I intended to put it in.

Not enough information before purchase

Installation is impossible with a bed that is not a platform. We had to change it. Very bad purchase.
