Wanted a plastic jug perfect for our needs.

I used this for 4 years without issue. When I first got it the liquid came out of the bottom of the blender below the blades. UNTIL I realized that I had to tighten the blades very well to stop this. The reason that the blades come loose is that the blender is designed to come apart for cleaning. Once I realized this I no longer had an issue. I would unscrew the blades from the outside bottom of the container, take it apart, and clean it. Then screw it back together.  I dropped the container on the floor and chopped the base and could no longer lock it in place. Only 4 stars because the plastic broke easily hitting the floor and because it is loud. But any complaints about it dripping from the blades are from people who did not take the time to understand the machine,

I gave this blender a benefit of doubt despite the many bad reviews but I learned the hard way. It just stopped working in the middle of my blending and before then I was so scared it would blow up cos of the smell. I tried to return and was told it's final sale, even though it has a 90 day return policy. I finally got a Walmart giftcard instead of my money.

Broke in first month. Never worked great. Spend the extra money and buy a better one. I upgraded to a ninja and love it

Leaked in month

I give it one star only because it won't let me give it 0 stars. One star is too many. I bought this specifically to use to make smoothies with - ie frozen fruit, yogurt, protein powder and water - not asking for a lot here. I wanted a blender where I could push a button and it would make my smoothie for me with minimal hands on work from me. Again, not asking a lot. But I didn't get that. With this blender you can't just put the ingredients in and turn it on, OH NO, the blades will just spin and spin and seemingly create an air pocket where then nothing is being blended and it's just running the motor, and I've tried EVERY FUNCTION, they all do the same thing of creating an air pocket and just spinning its blades. If I want a smoothie, I have to stand over it and pulse it every few seconds (any function will do for this since they are all garbage, I like to have fun and switch it up to see what happens) and then I have to use a spoon to burst the air bubble and the push my smoothie ingredients back down to pulse it again a few times before having to stop to burst the air bubble and push ingredients down again, repeat again, etc. basically it takes 15-20 minutes (no joke or exaggeration) of doing this to actually get a smoothie made. Add more water, less water, whatever, it's still the same. Which I just assume is not normal?? Am I wrong for thinking that this shouldn't be as painful as it is?? Looking at you for that one, Sunbeam. Or, I guess I could just conveniently and easily use the "smoothie" function on the blender, sure why not, right? I mean why else would it be an option? OH H3LL NO, by using this function, it spins so fast that it makes the blades come loose (that's what I assume is causing the blades to come loose anyway) which will then allow all of the contents of the blender to come out from the bottom and end up on your floor. And yes after this happened the first time I always made sure the blades were in tightly and correctly. Regardless, several times this has happened, and since, like all other bad choices I've made in life, I had to try it several times and create quite a mess for myself before accepting that this is a piece of junk and I must rise above, the last and final straw was this morning. I am happy to say that this blender is where it belongs now which is in the garbage and I am free. It has now joined the money I wasted to buy it in the first place and the other terrible life decisions I've made thus far, they are all now living happily together. So if you want a blender that can't blend a smoothie without A LOT of hands on work, or a blender that you can't use the 'Smoothie' function unless you'd like to serve your smoothie on your kitchen floor, or if you want a smoothie that takes 20 minutes to make that you have to babysit the entire time, then this is the next bad life choice for you!!

I bought the blender yesterday and it didn't even work for the first time and smells disgusting , releases smoke already even though I've used after reading the features perfectly! I'd like to return it asap.
