The SYLVANIA SilverStar® ULTRA high performance halogen headlight is our brightest downroad and whiter light. The combination of our furthest downroad, more sideroad, and whiter light helps the driver achieve more clarity helping to make night driving a less stressful, more comfortable experience. SYLVANIA achieves this using a specially designed filament, propriety gas mixture as well as a lamp coating that makes a brighter downroad light and shifts the colour temperature towards a whiter light.

I jave been using this brand of bulbs for my car since my first replacement and am now on my third pair after 10 years. They don't last long a little over 2 years but they are very white and bright.

Great bulbs very bright

I had these for more than a year now, Since it is halogen light bulb, they usually become extremely hot, so before you install them, you have to wear gloves to install them. Small disposable rubber gloves will help. The skin cannot touch the globe, because with the grease left on it from the finger, the light bulb will burn within few weeks.

No better than a standard halogen bulb

I drive a 2015 Subaru Forester and last year the first OEM Low Beam light burned out.  Like many others, I decided to "upgrade" my bulbs to these new Silvania Silverstar Bulbs which are touted as high performance. Both of these "high performance" bulbs failed within three months of travelling about the province.  I purchased another set and these failed within another three months leaving my family and I without proper safe working lights in Clearwater.  Very scary to say the least.  I am about to purchase new bulbs and my co-worker asks me if I have ever read the tiny fine print on the back of these packages.  Less than 200 hours runtime!  Gives me about 2 hours of driving time per day for 90 days! He advised me to go online and get a set of LED replacements which were $10 less expensive and these are supposed to last 50,000 hours!  I bought them and never looked back.  Super bright, long range, high kelvin for clarity of other cars and animals on the road.  Will never buy another halogen light again and will never throw money at Silvania products for my car again.  Like the other reviews have said, these are disappointingly short lived and aren't even noticeably brighter than their most basic cheap lower end models.

Brutally Short Life

Does not last more than 3 months if even that.
Do not buy.
Hopefully, Sylvania will send me replacements bulbs ASAP.

Theses bulbs only lasted 4 months in my truck they are a whiter light but not worth the $60 for four months of use.

Junk they don't last.
