After buying an Oster, taking it home, and finding it already dented right out of the box, I returned it and did some online toaster research. No toaster has all perfect reviews but this one seemed good. It arrived sooner than expected and I love it. It's not heavy like another review said, but it's solid enough to feel like it's well-built. It's only a little bigger than your average 2-slicer, it toasts evenly, it's fast, and it looks great.

Exactly what I was looking for

Someone put a lot thought into this toaster. First of all it NEVER gets hot or even warm to the touch. If the bread or what ever your toasting is too small to reach there is a handle to raise the toast higher so you can reach it. It's heavy enough so it will stay put when your pushing the handle down to start toasting. Form is not sacrificed to satisfy function. To improve on something that is basic and simple is not easy but this one did it. You can't go wrong with this. There is nothing you won't like about it. It's amazing really, someone improved on the basic toaster.

The features and design go way beyond the standard

This is the best toaster we ever had and makes the best toast we ever ate. It looks different but it is much easier to get the toast out never having to reach in and pull it out if you are using smaller breads such as muffins. Also it has a lift button. We set our toaster between 5 & 6 and it makes perfect toast and in addition it is fast. Our old GE toaster used to take 2-1/2 to 3 minutes to make toast and the toast never toasted right. You will not be disappointed with purchasing this toaster. I didn't mark for durability because we have only had it a few weeks. Other than that 5 stars all the way.

Great Toast

This is my second Avante toaster. The first lasted about 12 years. I love the design because the toaster does not have to turned around to be used. You just pop in the bread and out comes perfect toast!

A toaster that is fast and does a great job.

This toaster is quality made. I been able to toast English muffins, bread and large bagels.
When the item arrived, it work perfectly. Also, it was well packaged. Thank you Amazon.

Avante Deluxe Toaster

This is our second T-Fal Avante Deluxe Toaster. We used the other one to death! Breakfast always includes something that must be toasted and this toaster is the bomb! We tried several other brands before coming back to the T-Fal Avante. Other brands did not heat evenly or quickly, and did not toast quickly. I love this toaster!

Great toaster!

This toaster met ALL my expectations: Versatile settings, easy to reach controls, works terrific and looks fabulous in my stainless steel appliance kitchen...PERFECT!

The PERFECT toaster

Exceptionally nice toaster. After a little checking I was able to set for just the type of toast I like. It also has a bagel setting and will lift your toast out of the hot toaster. Love it. I also received it right on time just as Walmart stated.

Great toster

I still like this toaster despite (mostly only English muffins) flying out onto the counter. It actually makes me giggle (who else has flying toast?). It's not really heavy like another reviewer said. The key for me was high speed and it is. I'm not sure about evenness I haven't had it long enough. Again, English muffins always seem to be a problem, they don't toast so evenly. The darkness knob is really loose but I don't see it being a problem. I'm not a fan of stainless steel but I just cleaned the front with Windex and it didn't streak. I think it is a good value and reviews help immensely with any product. I haven't had it long enough to know if it's durable.

flying toast

Immediately after opening the package that the toaster was shipped in I tried it out. The first two attempts to toast bread (with different settings each time) the bread popped out on the counter and was burnt on one side not done enough on the other. The second try even set off the kitchen smoke alarm!
Needless to say it went back in the box and I returned it to the local Walmart store.
Still looking for a toaster that works as advertised.

Didn't work from the start.
