Ratings & Reviews+

The Black Cauldron (25th Annivesary) (Special Edition) is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good movie Some parts are a bit scarey; NOT good for younger kids, or those who are sensitive to frightening images. My boys were about 8 and 10 when they saw it for the first time, and they loved it. This is a very under-rated Disney movie. We had it on VHS a long time ago, and had not seen it on DVD until I decided to search for it. I was pleased to find it at I had hoped to find it in the store, but since I didn't, the [no shipping cost] site-to-store option is an acceptable alternative, even though I have to wait for it. [I have not actually received it yet.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly under-rated classic This movie has always been a favorite so when my vhs had seen it's last play I went searching and found the dvd. So grateful walmart had it!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nothing like the book I loved The Black Cauldron book by Lloyd Alexander so I was really excited to see a movie about it. But as I was watching the movie it soon became clear that Disney decided to try sewing together all five books in the Pyrdain Chronicles into one movie and call it The Black Cauldron instead of just sticking to the plot of the second book for the movie. So if you're expecting this movie to stick anywhere close to the plot of that book you're going to be sorely disappointed.
