Holds a lot. Peachy color very cute. A lot of front compartments. Side pockets fit 24oz Oala water bottle and there is stretch to the pockets so potentially could hold a thicker bottle. Straps are comfortable. Wish there was a secret inner zipped pocket.

Heavy duty and chic!

Absolutely love the North Face backpacks! We just retired one that was over 10 years old and had been used continuously and other than one small rip that recently happened, it held up beautifully. That's why we went right back to North Face to get a replacement. Love all the pockets, the size is just right and the durability is second to none!

The North Face backpacks are the best!

I've been using the Women's Borealis Backpack for school and it has been great so far. One of the biggest advantages for me is that it easily fits my 16-inch gaming laptop, which is usually pretty bulky and heavy. What surprised me the most is how comfortable it feels when carrying a heavy laptop. Compared with a regular backpack, the weight feels much better distributed, so it doesn't feel as heavy on my shoulders when walking around campus. The backpack also has plenty of space for notebooks, chargers, and other daily essentials, making it very practical for school.

I would buy again

This Product is amazing! I use it mainly for hiking, and it fits everything I need for day hikes. I also sometimes use it for school, and it fits all my materials, which, as a biology student, is very helpful. It's a good, solid bag and I'm not worried about it breaking down on me, which is very important to me as I am someone who is on the go a lot.

Best Multipurpose Bag

I purchased this for my daughter to start 8th grade. I know it has various uses for hiking, camping, etc. but it also makes a really good school backpack. My daughter loves it and says it's so comfy unlike other backpacks. It has so many different compartments for storage and is such a nice baby blue color.

Great backpack for various uses

This is actually the second one I've purchased of this backpack. The first was for one daughter's school backpack at the beginning of the school year. As her twin's backpack (another brand) started falling apart, she decided to get this one... in another color of course. These are so well made and looks good.

Well made and looks good!

Nice size pack for a long or short day hike with the dogs. I can carry treats, a water bowl, snacks for me, a wind and rain jacket. Also, 2 outside pockets for bear spray, etc. The cables are great for lightweight stuff. nice padding in the back. Beautiful, purply, blue color, nice quality.

Practical day pack

I wanted a backpack for traveling on cross country flights with my kids. The reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is because it's built strangely top-heavy, in a way that made it difficult to utilize and access the largest compartment pocket, particularly the bottom half. Pics demonstrate profile of bag at airport, with top part being wider than bottom. This was true even without much of anything in the top. I would have returned it if I had noticed this before using it.

I wanted to love it but...

In all honestly I would love to write an honset review, but thats hard to do when the item was purchased as a gift and still hasnt been received - over 3 weeks (almost 4 weeks) later. The re-orderd item (at my expense also) still hasnt been received either. North Face needs to get it together and figure out whats going on with their systems and update the shipping timelines online if they cant meet them. They also need a customer service phone number that works! I have dialed it over 100 times in the last 14 days from 5 different phones on 4 different phone carriers and I get a recording that says "Call cannot be copleted as dialed due to bad area code" or "number unaavailable, call cannot be completed at this time"
