Description & Features+

Academy Award(R) winners Anthony Hopkins ("The Silence of the Lambs") and Benicio Del Toro ("Traffic") tear up the screen in this action-packed thriller. Lawrence Talbot (Del Toro) is lured back to his family estate to investigate the savage murder of his brother by a bloodthirsty beast. There, Talbot must confront his childhood demons, his estranged father (Hopkins), his brother's grieving fiancee (Emily Blunt, "The Devil Wears Prada") and a suspicious Scotland Yard Inspector (Hugo Weaving, "The Matrix Trilogy"). When Talbot is bitten by the creature, he becomes eternally cursed and soon discovers a fate far worse than death. Inspired by the classic Universal film that launched a legacy of horror, "The Wolfman" brings the myth of a cursed man back to its iconic origins.

Ratings & Reviews+

The Wolfman (Unrated Director's Cut) (Blu-ray) (Bilingual) is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great remake classic yet! I've read some reviews on this movie and I believe people just don't appreciate creativity and uniqueness. This was a great remake of the OLD classic wolfman. The only thing added to the movie was the gore (we are talking about a werewolf here). I believe these other want to be movie remakers of classics should watch this film and take notes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Wolfman, not the Lycons ! Great photography and special effects. A great rebirth of a classic with a strong class of actors and gore. I actually enjoyed this movie more than another big film that was released at the same time "Shutter Island". It is always enjoyable to watch a film that does'nt drag along with excessive dialog and twist to take away from the meaning of the film.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic remake! What a great movie. The overall tone of the film is dark and moody, just as it should be. While I respect the 1941 classic version, this one takes the cake. The effects were eye popping! The visual effects team should be commended. Every actor gave a stand out performance. The casting, acting, writing, music (EVERYTHING!) was top notch. Be warned! The film is gory but then again, it's a werewolf story.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Alright I think that they had the right actors for this movie but as said before, it only could go so far. I am not saying this was the worse movie though. I like the fact that they tried to keep it close to the original film. There are some areas that they improved on though that made the movie more up to date. The graphics I think were great on blueray. I would recommend this movie to rent but not to own.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not what is pictured! The picture shows bonus movie, the original Wolfman, included in the 2 disc set. However what Walmart sends you is merely the theatrical and unrated versions. You must download or stream original Wolfman with this package. The original release of this blu-ray had both the original Wolfman and the remake on the disks. That is not what Walmart is selling here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value! Worth the small price just for the special features, most especially the deleted London chase scene!
