Walmart was able to get two Thomas the train  to my nephews in California quickly and at the time they said that they promised

Twins nephews first experience with Thomas

Mt Grandson is 2 1/2 and had played with his Thomas the train and tracks I have built him for hours at a time. This train addition is great, it has more power and an extra cart to pull. I will say this, the train that came with the track runs for hours on the 2 AA batteries. We have left and went shopping only to find he left it running, it is like the energizer bunny it just keeps going and going. On that note I do not use cheap batteries in it. For his age he has been great about not taking the track apart, the last one I built had the big hills and a couple of cross overs. I do have to adjust the supports on occasion, but over all it all has held up well. Must say he is not a destructive child, he seems to understand these supports have to be there for it to work. He does like to sit little Minions on the track and watch Thomas run over them and push them off the track. I have had no problem with anything breaking.

It works perfectly on the track but can also drive on flat surfaces. I like that the button is easy for him to push on and off rather than the switch kind that is sometimes harder for him. Bonus for the parents, it's not annoying! :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Talking Thomas is a definite must have for any train lover. The redesigned TrackMaster trains are faster and make a wonderful addition to any set. My five year old loves his talking Thomas train, and it is one of his favorites. He also enjoys adding a couple of rail cars on and watching it fly across the floor.

I was very surprised at how well it moved, it went up the hills that she made out of cardboard with ease! It would be neat if it had a little light that lit up as well, but it's just as fun without.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited for my grandson to play with the Talking Thomas, he's in to Thomas & Friends. The train offered a lot of great sounds, and great movement on and off the carpet. Which thankfully had him playing for a while. My grandson wasn't that gentle with it, so I was glad it was made well, and could withstand the play of a 3 year old. Not like other similar toys that will not go on the carpet or break after a minutes of play.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves this Thomas Trackmaster! It moves much more quickly than the last Trackmaster train we purchased. The button is right on top and easy to push to make sounds. It makes several different Thomas sounds that are recognizable  from the show. He can pull the coal tender that came with him as well as other cars! It is definitely a hit with my train loving kid.

The main downside to this train is that it is very loud. I had to put tape over the speaker part immediately after I opened it because it was too loud for my liking. I wish there were a feature to adjust the volume. Other than that, I have no complaints!
