I know that I'm "supposed" to prefer other tomatoes to romas for salads n such. I don't. I prefer romas because they aren't all juice and seeds. They're meaty. I get a lot of tomato flavor without all the water. If you haven't tried romas in your salads, try them. You might be very surprised at how good they really are!

Great for Salads

walmart.com

Best thing to bring a sandwich up a notch. I know a lot of people get the huge "slicing" tomatoes, and I know a lot of people with soggy sandwiches. I love Romas, especially when they're real firm, because they slice easy and are very meaty so your sandwich gets tomato instead of seed goo. I just layer the slices on like pickles and I'm good to go. if you're traveling its the only way to get you sandwich two miles down the road without it getting moist like you dropped in a puddle.

Makes great red sandwich pickles!

Listen, I know you don't go to Walmart for the quality of their produce, you go because its cheap. But, come on man, at least have the stuff out at the right time! Why is it they are always, and I mean always either so unripe you cant use them for a couple days, or so ripe that if you don't use them that night they are mushy the next day! any how,

where to start

They are hit or miss at Walmart all their produce is . They are good when you buy them but where you put in refrigerator and go back to refrigerator at the end of day or a day later they are no good they get mushy and turn colors so I don't buy my produce there unless I know I'm going home and using it right away

Walmarts produce doesn't last more than 3-4 days. If I buy Walmarts produce I have to use it within the 3-4 days or it goes bad. I will only buy their produce if I'm not shopping anywhere else and I'm going to use it right away. When I buy from the competition the produce will last a week or more and the taste is better and the produce looks better overall. It doesn't matter what produce I'm buying from Walmart it's all the same. It may be cheaper. But if I have to throw it out and rebuy it before I can use it than it's not really cheaper and worth it.

Not great quailty

It may have to do with the shoppers who have made the choice of my tomatoes or the tomatoes are really not the best for the price. I make it a point to be very honest about what I think of the purchase. If it were me, I would want the same courtesy as the one I have been extending for years now to the readers of my reviews. I don't pull punches

These are a decent fresh tomato that doesn't go bad quickly and have a fresh, crisp overall taste. Good to have on hand for casseroles or stir-fry dishes, but not the most fresh and robust flavor. They are ok staples and a healthier choice than processed foods, and the fact that they don't go bad quickly is a plus. However, the flavor doesn't really come close to locally grown, in season produce.

Decent tomatoes. Best out of season choice

This Roma tomato (like ALL tomatoes in the grocery stores) was tasteless - honestly awful, does not taste the way a tomato should. Save your money, and support area farmers markets - buy florida veggies and fruits there. They probably shipped this from halfway across the country. Sad

Had no taste

If i could give it 0 stars i would. Train better the people that pick these orders. I didnt know roma tomatoes could be the size of cherry tomatoes. Thats how small these tomatoes were. Not enough for what i needed them. At least teach them to pick the bigger ones, at the end they charge by weight 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

The two Roma tomatoes I ordered were too ripe and mushy!!! I wouldn't be able to cut into them. I ended up throwing them out! I'm pretty sure the person who shopped felt how bad they were and still added them to my groceries!
They need to be more aware of bad produce!

Bad tomatoes!
