Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unbelievable!!!! Bought this a week ago due to my generous cat ,who believes we need a live mouse in the house. I baited 1 trap with Peanut butter and one With Cheez Whiz....placed them as instructed .... It took all of 2 Minutes after me leaving the kitchen ......the mouse was in the trap!!! Today I noticed signs of another mouse in the recycle bin! Again....only minutes after baiting and leaving the area was the mouse caught! ....and again was the peanut butter that attracted the little critter! These live traps are the greatest! Please try these before a killing kind!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It just works! After watching the single mouse in my home for a bit, I learned the paths he took in my living room and basement. I set 4 traps in key locations with peanut butter in the back of the traps. First night - due to my error of placing one trap on carpet, he got a free meal. So I reset the trap on top of a piece of paper. Night 2 - mouse caught. Releasing him was as easy as tipping the trap so he was opposite the end of the peanut butter, then removing the back of the trap. No seeing or touching the mouse required. Both the swing close door at the front and the bait door at the back snap tightly into place. Escaping won't happen. I highly recommend this trap over any kill trap. Humane is best, and this trap makes it easy too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple but very effective Bought a couple of these because we knew we had a lot of mice in the garage and basement. Set them up in the evening and quickly caught a mouse in each trap. Within the next 24 hours, we had caught and released 9 mice! Caught a few more since and have definitely thinned out the herd... A mouse escaped at least twice--once, the trap was pushed over on its side so the mouse was never trapped. I have no idea how the other mouse escaped. The trap was closed, all the peanut butter was gone, but no mouse... Still a simple cheap, effective way to catch live mice. I'm very happy with the design and you can't beat the price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Effective Be Prepared... I thought I had (A) mouse, bought two traps. Turned out I had a lot. So I ordered 5 more traps. So far I caught 13. But the worst is over. 1- it does effectively catch the mice. 2- Sometimes there is an empty closed trap but sometimes it catches two mice, I think when they're too light to tip the trap close. 3- note to manufacturer, once I left the mouse in for long and it managed to chip a hole and run away I think if not caught in another trap he might be writing a book now! 4- check the bait after a while, the little ones may eat and go. (sometimes) 5- I'd test the floor friction lest it may hinder the trap from closing, (better have less friction)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Added Peanut Oil I added a small amount of peanut oil as well as peanut butter. That gives a much stronger smell. I put it out at night and in the morning a mouse was caught.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked Immediately I had glue traps all over my apt. for 2 years and only caught 3 mice. Had the snapping ones for 2 years, caught only one but too grosed out to reuse it. Finally tried this due to good reviews. Makes no sense to me how it worked but i placed it on my kitchen counter at night and in the morning the snap door was shut so I picked it up and noticed some weight inside. I had to use a long stick to open it onto my back yard cause I was afraid to touch the mouse or have it climb on me, sure enough he came out and went on his merry way. I'm getting 5 more!
