The quick brown fox (that’s Flash!) jumps over the lazy dog (that’s Yon) and into Lettertown, where the lovable letter carriers deliver letters of the alphabet to friends in need. When Chef Jeff at the Lettertown Luncheonette realizes his recipes are missing or when Mell Sellwell at the Rhyme and Dime Store needs help organizing items by rhyme, Flash and Yon roll up in their RV to deliver letters that solve problems and save the day. Along the way, listeners learn that letters make sounds, sounds make words, and words can do anything! With gentle humor, wildly infectious songs, and one-of-a-kind characters, this early literacy musical brings the F-U-N, created by an award-winning writer and composer and performed by Broadway and Second City talent. Kids will explore the foundations of reading through letter sounds, blending, segmenting, and rhyming. Flash and Yon deliver letters to Maestro Melody to finish her big performance song, discover that letters can make more than one sound in Tina and Tanya’s Gardens, and help Chef Jeff by showing how sounds blended together form words. They also team up with Aria and Jazz, the Musician Magicians, to reveal how blending letters makes new sounds. When Ward Smith needs words delivered to Lexi the Librarian, Flash and Yon learn about compound words and join Professor Nestor in his Lettertown Lab to break words into individual sounds. Finally, at the Grand Opening of the Rhyme and Dime Store, they help Mell Sellwell organize by rhymes, then transform into their superhero alter egos, Zap and Nap, to stop the mischievous Eraser who is erasing letters throughout Lettertown—teaching kids that rhymes can be created simply by changing beginning sounds of words.

They are easy to download the first time you use them. They aren't the typical character Tonies, but they provide lots of educational entertainment! Delivery was very quick.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We added the Tonies Letter Carriers Clever Set to our Toniebox collection and it has quickly become one of our favorite educational Tonies. The stories are engaging, silly, and musical, which keeps kids entertained while they're actually learning important early literacy skills.

Each character focuses on a different phonics concept like letter sounds, blending, segmenting, and rhyming, and I love how the lessons are built naturally into fun stories instead of feeling like a lesson. The songs are catchy and easy for kids to follow along with, and the storytelling keeps their attention surprisingly well.

Overall, this set is a great mix of learning and entertainment and a wonderful addition if you're looking to introduce early reading skills in a fun, low-pressure way. Highly recommend for kids starting to recognize letters and sounds!

These guys are such a hit in our house. This set is amazing! Highly recommend it! Yon & Flash are such a fun duo, they have really good songs, silly stories, & in my honest opinion this set specifically has helped a lot with speech. It's honestly such a great set & I'm so glad we made the purchase! Would love for there to be more of Yon & Flash in the future!
