I bought this to replace an older model which had been struck by lightning.  I like the new feature of being able to turn off the lighted display at night.  I do miss the old flat top, which made it easier to fill.  Living in the desert, I need the humidity to sleep at night.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this a few weeks ago and I love it. It works wonderful. It is very quiet. I normally run it on warm setting 2 and it raises the humidity roughly 20% in my living room.  I love the fact you can use essential oil also. A great buy!

Exceptional humidifier

For years, we had purchased cheaper humidifiers from the drug store which only worked for a short time and realized we need to buy a better one.  This humidifier started up immediately and puts out a nice stream of steam.  My husband suffers from sinus headaches and immediately saw improvements.  It's quiet and easy to refill.

Worth the money!

I just received this DE humidifier and so far so good I like it. Very easy to set but very heavy when filled.  What are the reasons I purchased this was because of the great customer care that I've seen in the reviews if you have a problem they get right back to you and they want to make it right that's what I chose this.  I email them for questions on what I should purchase and lady was very helpful in her replies thanks homedics.

This is the nicest humidifier I have purchased to date. It is easy to set up and program. We have 'hard water' and, even though I use distilled water in the unit, I'm grateful that there are demineralization cartridges for each tank. I also love the essential oil tray.

Easy to run and well worth the price

So far, very happy with it. It's nice and quiet. Very easy to set the settings.

I have used this humidifier for 5 days. It is exactly as advertised. Nice looking, easy to use, very quiet, and does a great job.

Great features!

Unit operated as advertised and worked fine. One item that could be improved is to provide a hole in the top of each water tank so a funnel can be inserted to re-fill with water. This would eliminate the cumbersome removal, inversion, filling and re-insertion of the water tanks.

An Easy Fix

We've purchased several Homedics humidifiers over the years to help us through the interior dryness in the winters. They have all worked well, but we are not pleased with the designs in recent years. The old “tear drop” shaped tanks were a much better design specific to ease of handling when refilling the tanks. We used to be able to fill the tanks while either holding them up with one hand or even allowing the tank to fill while it stood up on its own in the sink. The tanks of the newer humidifiers have rounded surfaces which requires two hands to hold them up and are not easy to hold on to during refilling.

Works well, but new design is not user friendly

we purchased these because of the 2 gallon capacity.We  have had  wonderful luck with other Homedics products ,but not these. The first issue is the white powder on EVERYTHING! The next issue is that our eyes started itching about 3 days after we started to use these humidifiers. Very dissapointed with these. We will be sending them back A.S.A.P.
