TP-Link Archer C50 Wireless Dual Band Router is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stopped working for no reason Yeah after two weeks it stopped letting anything connect. Taking this thing back to the store. Even if I could get it working again I don't want to have to fiddle with it every few weeks.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Media server doesn't work well I bought the unit because of the media server function. However, this is very faulty. You can define four folders in the admin page on the router, but not all show on the DLNA client. I have tested with a Samsung TV and various DLNA clients on a computer. Always the same result. Unlike for instance miniDLNA or Twonky, the media cannot be paused, you cannot fast forward on the TV etc. That might be a missing feature, but the fact, that not all defined shares come and not all subfolders get scanned is a bug. I am considering returning the unit as faulty, because the function I bought it for doesn't work properly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple for beginners with advanced options too Like other TP-Link products I have used, the C50 router is well-made and nicely packed. Following the enclosed guide, setup was quick and easy. I was hoping to improve the speed and range of my Internet service, and I was not disappointed. AT&T claims to provide me 18Mbps, but in reality I only get only 6-8 Mbps on a single 2.4 GHz band even a short distance away from the router provided by them. The C50 takes that same signal and gives me reliable signals with download speeds up to 22 Mbps on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. I think this router would be easy for anyone to set up, from the beginner to the advanced user. I find the TP-Link smartphone Tether app adequate for basic settings, while the web-based tools provide access to more advanced options. These include enabling the guest network, parental controls, blocking specific client access, and managing printer and storage devices. The router has 4 ethernet ports and 1 USB port, so far I have added my Seagate Central network storage device to back up files. I am very happy with the C50, I'm getting better coverage to areas in my house that were previously dead spots and I have not experienced any dropped signals or other issues. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent The TP Link wireless router works great for my use. It replaces a Linksys wireless router that I had used for several years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AC1200 router Now that I'm learning what I'm doing, it works great. I just had to learn to stop and take an occasional look at the instructions when things didn't seem to be working right. I am now very happy with my new router.
