Articulation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 40th anniversary, Generation One universe: Optimus Prime. 

based on the original 1984 figure, with ungraded modern articulation and a smaller deluxe size. 

Optimus Prime comes with an energon axe and 2 rifles, the American skinny sniper rifle, and the Japanese diaclone battle blaster. 

uses the same transformation as the original 1984 figure with slight modifications to new leg design. 

this is a great desk figure, fun to fiddle with, and has a tough looking truck mode, with rubber tires like the 1984 original. 

highly recommended for all

2024 Generation One Optimus Prime is a work of art

This is an actual update of a classic Transformers G1 figure. Transforms the same exact way. Just a few changes like no parts forming. And includes 2 rifles, battle axe, and The Matrix! It's just a fun figure to mess with. Simple to transform into his truck.  And if you have the Transformers Earthrise Optimus Prime? The trailer works with this figure too!

Legacy Deluxe Optimus Prime.

This thing is pretty amazing for an OG fan. This is the look of the 1984 original Prime, with the poseability of a 2025 Transformer. They've done it once before, and it was like over $100. This version is made with more plastic and less diecast, and it's like $25. No trailer, but I have like 6 OP trailers.

Quite a Value

I love this figure and everything it represents. It's such a cool reimagining of the original toy. It radiates everything great about how far Transformers as a line has become.

A very nice design for Optimus Prime. My only gripe is that it's much smaller than what I expected. It has very good detail and the articulation is decent. This figure has rolling wheels and comes with two blasters and the Energon axe. it's a nice throwback to the original G1 Optimus Prime and makes for an excellent addition to your collection!

Smaller than expected, but still a great Prime!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Don't be fooled, this may look like another re-release of a Generation one Optimus Prime, but it's not. It's a brilliant update to the original toy that keeps the original look but with modern articulation. This is mostly down in the legs, where they've added full hip rotation, thigh rotation, knee bend, ankle tilt, and ankle rotation. I think they may have added more shoulder articulation too, because I don't think the original could lift his arms, but I may be wrong. Another fantastic upgrade is that his hands are no longer separate pieces, so no more loosing tiny robots fists. Only downsides I have, is that this is a small figure, even for a deluxe, the other being there's no storage for the weapons when in robot mode. But these do not detract from my enjoyment of this figure. 

I haven't been able to find this one on store shelves yet, so watch out for scalpers. MSRP should be $24.99. 

Autobots, roll out!

A bit small for Deluxe, but packed with nostalgia.

What it would take to make this a 5⭐️ is if it had wrist swivels and thinnger paint on the gun. The thick paint on the gun puts stress on the holes where the gun is held by the transformer.

Solid 4 star. No wrist swivels

Decent update from the original toy in playability, but it feels very cheap in hand and feels like very little quality for the money. It isn't a high priced figure, but there's very little effort being made to produce a toy that can last for forty years. Or even ten. Buyer beware.
