Umarex Steel Force is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 74.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Co2 auto I have several BB guns and this is one of my favorites. PROS: The 2 co2 will last for about 300 BBs which is the whole reserve will hold in the gun. I added a red dot sight ( 1-2" grouping @ 30ft ) I added the folding grip with built in storage ( I put the spare co2 key ) CONS: Need learning curve to load the BBs, have to shake back and forth to load then to the 30BB built in spring magazine. Gun is all plastic except trigger & barrel

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great for a little fun, but just a little. My Umarex Steel Force arrived two days ago. I carefully reviewed the manual and safety paperwork the same day, but didn't take it out the box until yesterday. My first impression was that it had a fairly realistic design and seemed a bit more heavy and sturdy than my Crosman M4-177. The flip-up sights are well-designed and the six-position adjustable stock makes this short-barreled carbine a breeze to aim and shoot. My first issue I had is with the key/tool that is used to tighten the CO2 cartridges, or rather one of the two tools. The gun came with two of them, one of which was seated properly into the built-in storage slot for it in the magazine. The other was rattling around loose inside one of the tubes where the CO2 cartridges go. Considering the fact that these tools are solid and somewhat heavy metal, it could have very well damaged the needle or valve for the cartridge. I don't think think that it did, but something did go wrong somewhere. I took the Steel Force out yesterday and fired about 100 BBs through it. On semi-auto mode, it is about as loud and powerful as my Umarex XBG pistol. Both have the same muzzle velocity rating of 410 FPS, after all. On six-shot burst, the velocity drops a bit, but the fun level goes WAY up. This has been, by far, my favorite BB gun to shoot. I'm 35 years old and I felt like a kid again. Yeah, it was THAT fun. It's just too bad that it didn't last. Today, I took my Steel Force out for round two. After about another 50 rounds or so, it suddenly started to fire bursts, even though it was on semi-auto mode. No matter which position I set it to, single or burst, it would fire nothing but bursts. After a few bursts, it went dead. Full magazine, safety off, nothing when I squeezed the trigger. I tried pulling back the charging handle and it would fire one burst (even in single shot mode), then nothing. I repeated this a few times, but by then, it was just "spitting out" a few BBs a few feet in front of me onto the ground. I brought it back inside, thinking that maybe the CO2 cartridges were getting low, but after removing the magazine and loosening the cartridges, plenty of ice-cold CO2 came hissing out of them for a while, so that wasn't the problem. I should note that the gun was never dropped. I handled it gently and carefully. I put a drop of the recommended oil on top of each of the two CO2 cartridges before inserting them, as specified in the manual. I was careful with the trigger and the magazine follower. I'm really not sure what went wrong. However, it now only fires bursts and I have to pull and release the charging handle before each one. It is a very nice-looking air gun, with good weight and balance, decent velocity and accuracy, better-than-average sights, and it's enjoyable to shoot. However, mine just didn't last more than two days of firing. I should note that I have returned mine and I have already ordered a second one, though. It was really that fun to shoot and I'm crossing my fingers and trying the Steel Force again. Hopefully, I just got a bad one, but I have read a number of reviews that sound very similar to my experience. I'll be sure to update my review when my second one arrives.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for the price This gun is a lot of fun, and it's great for the price. The burst fire especially is great as a feature. It holds a lot of ammo, and it's very easy to fire and has a nice look for an air rifle. There's just a few problems with it: cover of magazine for co2 is very awkward, shaking bbs into barrel can be really fussy, and the accuracy is not amazing. Still, for the price it's a lot of fun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful and a Ton of Fun to shoot! The Steel Force is a very good buy with its powerful fps and on board dual Co2 power. The moveable stock makes it easy to shoulder and aim (unlike the Steel Storm!) and it gets acceptable accuracy for a steel BB shooter at 20 feet, Definitely recommended for those looking for a fun BB shooter!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Gun Really great gun. Full auto is a blast. Shoots very accurate right out of the box. If used in semi-auto mode, get more than 350 shots from the two CO2's. Would recommend it. Only small complaint, if built with more metal would have a better feel. But in no way effects performance.
