I was born with a defect in my bottom lip that required reconstructive surgery. My bottom lip is made from skin grafts and cant make it's own moisture like normal lips. Vaseline lip therapy has been a life safer! I love the tins bc they provide a lot of moisture and are easy to carry in my pocket. I am never without one. I have been using these for years. I have one within arms reach at all times. I LOVE these.

First off the nice flat tin is so perfect for carrying and fits just about anywhere.. Including flat in your pocket unlike other lip products in big packaging. Vaseline has always been a brand I trust And love but it wasn't something I could take with me on the go because of the large container so this new sleek tin really fits my lifestyle! I will definitely be recommending this product to my friends and family!

I love the new Vaseline tins!!

I use this daily to protect and heal my lips. It also helps to heal cold sores that are threatening to erupt on me. I get a metal taste on my lips. I will then apply a thick layer of Vaseline Lip therapy to that area. After a few hours (or sometimes repeated applications), the area is back to normal. This is a Godsend for me! My only complaint is it sometimes gets in my hair and then my hair is greasy, but to me, it's worth it to save my lips!

Great to protect lips from threatening cold sores

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a free tin of original Vaseline Lip Therapy for testing purposes. My reviews are my honest opinions. The tin is small and easily fits in a pocket. It's easy to open, unless the tin and your hands aren't completely dry or free of oils (ie: lotion, grease from food, etc.) It was nearly impossible for me to open the tin while walking outside while it was raining lightly. I love how smooth this product goes on and how silky my lips feel! The cold winter weather has been harsh on my lips, but since I started using Vaseline Lip Therapy, I haven't had the normal cracking and peeling that normally happens during this time of year. I like that there isn't a scent too- I forget I have it on until I rub my lips together and they glide so nicely. I recommend this product based on my experience. I am looking forward to trying the other types available.

Nice and smooth, but don't try to open in the rain

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. Four version of the Vaseline® Lip Therapy® Tins were distributed for review. I received the Vaseline lip therapy original. It is unscented, unflavored, and colorless. When I became aware of the other three more exciting tins (Aloe, Rosy Lips, Cocoa Butter) I was initially a little bit disappointed. But as it turns out what I did receive perfectly fit my needs. I always keep a lip product next to my bed on my nightstand. To be honest, it is usually a low quality, free chapstick that I was given at an event. They coat the lips, but provide no therapeutic benefit and don't absorb into the epidermis . This product is lightweight and soothing.

I've been using the Vaseline® Lip Therapy® Original Tin every night for two weeks now. I like that this formula is specifically designed for lips and it is not thick and goopy like the regular Vaseline that we all grew up using from the tub. Every night I apply to my lips and the area around my lips, those corners of my mouth that can get dry in this winter season. The product glides on, it is smooth and has nice slip. I really like it and it has been very beneficial to me. Of course you can use it out and about during the day. The slim tin fits perfectly on your pocket or purse. You can keep one in your desk drawer or in you car during the colder months. It is very portable. If you ladies keep it in your purse I suggest storing it in a small section (this way if the top pops off most of your items will be unaffected). I also think it is great to apply this product at the start of the day. It provides a great base for lip liner and lipstick.

I personally use this product at home because I prefer not to stick my fingers into a gloss and then apply it to my lips when I'm out and about during the day. When I use it at night or in the morning at home my hands are clean so I'm not really concerned about germs, etc. FYI if you are using this at home in the morning you could always apply it with a lip-brush.

The tins are super cute and I like the colors that they come in. I'm not sure what I would use it for, but these tins look like they can be reused for other purpose once all of your Lip Therapy is finished.

I think I'd like to also try the Vaseline® Lip Therapy® Cocoa Butter Tin.

Lips heal while you sleep

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a tin of the Vaseline Lip Therapy Original free from Influenster and was anxious to try it out! I always put some sort of lip treatment on at bedtime to let it work over night. I've been using this for a few weeks now and I'm loving the way it makes my lips feel in the morning. It's a little thick for daily use but for night it's perfect! My lipstick seems to go on smoother during the day than before I started using it. I also like the little tin it is in! It doesn't roll off my nightstand like a tub does.I could also see it being easier to find in a purse or bag. I've also been rubbing it on my cuticles at night as well.

I'm not a frequent user of Vaseline typically, mostly since I still associate it with the larger tubs and I like stick applications better, but this is easy to use and not as sticky to apply with your finger. The consistency seemed a bit easier to manage, and obviously the small container is much more convenient. Otherwise it seems to be the same standard of product, soothes dry lips which is great for this changing winter weather! It feels great once applied, and usually lasts for a couple of hours at least. While the tin is convenient, I still would prefer a stick application for my lips.

GOOD OLD VASELINE IN EASIER TIN

I have been using Vaseline lip therapy original for a few years. I liked that there was no scent and when left on overnight my lips were so soft in the morning and stayed hydrated throughout the day without reapplication. I just opened a new one a few weeks ago and I noticed the original one now has a scent. It's a light sweet scent. I also noticed my lips are not as soft as before and by the time I reapply at night my lips are noticeably chapped.

Something changed...

This product was Amazing! It was my #1 only lip balm I used and planned to purchase forever! Couldn't imagine not having this products for my lips. Made my lips incredibly soft, never had chapped lips SOLEY due to this product SOFTEST lips ever for the last 2 years I would say. I recently ran out and bought a new one a couple days ago and i didn't notice anything different AT FIRST. Packaging looked the same but the actual jelly was more yellow than the previous ones I bought prior but that didn't really matter to me and I expected it to perform the same...well I was WRONG. The texture of the new formula is thinner and effects are not long lasting! I also don't feel it makes my lips feel the same way they used to feel with this product. I have to reapply every 2 hours now when I used to be able to go at least 6 and sometimes I went ALL day without feeling the need to reapply. This product is not the same, please bring the old formula back!!!!

(Original)Amazing before formula changed...

I have used the tiny tubs of original lip therapy for two years now. They have now been replaced by these tins in every store in my hometown. While they appear to be the same product, I find they are extremely different. The Vaseline in the tin is more silky and thin than the other kind which has a more waxy consistency. The old, waxy consistency stayed on my lips a lot better and didn't come off as fast. As well, I find my lips MORE chapped after using the new lip therapy tin! I rountiely apply Vaseline even if my lips aren't chapped, and hours after I apply the Vaseline from the tin, my lips are so chapped that they are splitting! I strongly reccommend going back to the old formula, or at least making it available so that I can switch back and don't have to use this tin Vaseline! My sister has also had the same experience as me, so I think it's a problem.
