Veet® EasyWax Electrical Roll-On System Starter Kit is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 226.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product with salon effect I tried the electrical roll on for the first time yesterday and having read the previous reviews I knew it was likely to take longer than the 20 minutes stated to heat up the wax, which it did. I started waxing after about 30-35 minutes although the wax glided on better after another 5 minutes. Maybe once more wax has been used it will take less time to heat up, as each cartridge is meant to do 4 wax sessions. I unplugged the device after a few minutes as I was worried the wax may get too hot but the wax cooled down very quickly so I had to plug it back in and then it was fine. I re-read the instruction booklet afterwards and it said that it is safe to leave it plugged in all the time as there is an internal thermometer to stop it from overheating. I've been going to a salon to get my legs waxed for 6 years and thought this looked similar to what they use so would give it a whirl. I felt it gave great results and didn't need to go over the same area twice. Much better than the microwaveable wax! The only criticism I have is that it could do with more wax strips - I didn't run out as I'd used the same wax strip several times like they do at the salon but I used 8 strips and there's now only 6 left, so considering the cartridge is meant to do 4 wax sessions, you think there'd be enough wax strips to do 4 sessions.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple and easy to use, but needs more strips! I've tried having my legs waxed at a salon before and I didn't mind the pain but as I couldn't see much point in going regularly as shaving doesn't take long anyway. Due to this, this isn't a product I would have even thought about buying - however I was sent a free one to trial and actually quite liked it! It definitely wasn't ready after 20 mins as stated in the instructions - I turned the roller but the wax didn't come out. I left it longer - must have been between 30 to 40 mins in total and then tried again and it was perfect. It rolledon easily with no mess at all (even the actual unit didn't really get messy) and at the same time wasn't too hot either. It has quite a nice smell and it was a nice bright pink which meant you could easily see where the wax was. The unit was a nice size and comfortable to grip which made applying the wax easy. I did find that there weren't enough strips - you couldn't even do one leg without reusing them really so this was a big let down for me as I wasn't sure that using them more than once was as good - more hairs seem to come off when you use a fresh strip. I did also keep plugging the unit in between strips so that it wouldn't cool down too much - but I had the stand set up next to me so this wasn't a problem at all. I used this in my bedroom as it was easier with plug sockets, and you really don't need to be in a bathroom because it's not messy at all - I didn't even need the towel I had put under my legs just in case. My legs were a bit red afterwards but that's nothing new for me and I think they stayed red for less time than I expected them to. I'd already got most of the odd bits of wax off my legs by using the edges of the strips but the wipes got all the tiny bits off and did seem to soothe my legs. The wipes are very oily though - to be honest they were the messiest part of the whole process but this is ok as long as you're aware of it! Overall I really liked the product and it was so easy to use that I actually felt like I knew what I was doing! I would use them again but probably only if I saw it on offer - the full price is still cheaper than going to a salon, but I don't go to a salon for leg waxing, I shave and this is definitely more expensive than shaving. I would also definitely need more strips if I was going to do this again and depending on how much extra ones cost I would consider looking at alternatives (just for the strips though). I would also only use this sometimes e.g. before a holiday or when you know it's going to be hot for a few days. This is just because it does take longer than shaving, although it doesn't take a LONG time and you can easily do it while watching TV etc so it's not like you have to dedicate time just for waxing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Purchase! If I could rate this product no stars, I would! I have rarely been so disappointed by a purchase. I was so looking forward to using this as it looked easy on the advert and I thought it would be a good way to save a bit of money rather than going for a professional wax. I carefully read all instructions and plugged the electrical unit in to heat up. 20 mins later I tried the wax applicator but the roller would not shift. I waited another 10 mins and it finally seemed to apply fairly nicely. The product started to work to an acceptable level on front of my first leg (I thought at first it was me and I just needed to "get the knack" of the product). However, after only 7 mins the applicator stopped working again. At this point I tried to persevere and ended up with my leg covered in sticky pink wax. I thought the applicator was maybe not warm enough and returned it to charge for another 10 mins - no improvement! My trials just covered me in more wax that refused to come off with the strips. So, that was bad enough - but then I had to remove the sticky pink wax! I used the enclosed wipes to remove the wax but it would not shift the sticky substance without incredible scrubbing (I think I lost more hair during this stage)! It took three of the wipes to even get close to clean again, meaning I've only got one wipe if I ever was brave enough to attempt this again. I am SO disappointed. Instead of saving money it was just a HUGE waste of both time and the cash I laid out on this useless product. Sorry Veet - I'm sure this review will never be published on your website - but this product is absolute rubbish. I hope someone reads this and saves their money for something more worthwhile!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sadly disappointed ! Like a lot of the other reviews, the wax took a good 30 minutes to heat up enough to be of any use. Once it was ready i applied the strip and removed as instructed. I was very disappointed with the results, i would say about 5% of the hair was removed. I would not say i have more hair than the average person. This could be a great item but feel it needs a bit more work to be what they say it is.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from needs no more explanation than terrible When I bought this is was really excited to recieve "salon results" but after waiting for it to heat up for twenty minutes it was useless. I then let it heat for a further five minutes, as instructed, but again the results were weak. The wax came out terribly and even after heating it for even more, it didn't work. This product is terrible. There are not enough strips or wipes. I'm very disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mess free home waxing I was sent a trial from Veet through BzzAgent.co.uk to test out the new Veet EasyWax home electrical waxing system and I must admit I was quite excited to try it out! Having watched the advert on television I was tempted to buy it anyway, so it was a bonus I was sent a free sample to try. I usually use a mixture of epilation, waxing and shaving, but I was keen to test out the home waxing kit from Veet. I’d previously used home waxing “salon style” kits at home, but it was rather messy I gave up in the end as it became a hassle heating the wax and I often got my bathroom covered it it. The Veet EasyWax system is really easy to use, and…MESS FREE! It takes approximately 30 minutes to heat up, which gives you a good excuse to exfoliate properly, which is a bonus for fuzz free legs! You insert the wax stick into the Veet applicator and then plug it in, whilst it waits to heat up. After about 30 minutes, the wax is at the right consistency so it glides out of the applicator easily and spreads nicely onto your skin. The wax is an orange/pink colour, and I like it because you can see the hairs you need to remove underneath the wax quite easily. This makes it quick and convenient to apply the non-woven strip over the wax and allow you to pull it off quickly and remove the hair. When I used it, the majority of the hair was removed straight away. There were only a few stubborn stragglers, which I managed to remove after the 2nd or third attempt. Overall, the wax kit gives 10 times better results than the pre-waxed strips you can buy. I don’t bother with salons, as I can’t justify the expense when it’s possible to remove hair at home just as easily. The kit comes with 12 non woven wax strips and 4 after depilatory wipes. To justify the expense of the machine which retails at about £15 – £30 depending on where you buy and what offers are on…it think it should come with a few more of these. However, you can of course buy replacements. It also comes with the wax, and the electrical lead / holder. Overall, I was quite impressed with Veet EasyWax…it does what it says on the tin and is great for waxing legs, arms and bikini area. I would continue to use it, but I would only purchase the extra replacement wax tubes if they were on offer. I think the item is a little pricey…but I guess cheaper than going to a salon
