Veho VMS-004D 400x USB Microscope is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for a beginner The price is great. its a neat product but I would like a better picture. the image that the microscope captures is like that of a digital camera with 3 mega pixals. I'm able to make out what Im looking at but would be great if it was hi def.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and fun. The microscope is very easy to use once you get the hang of it. The only drawback is the software that comes with it, which is really poor quality, but since the computer sees the microscope as just a normal webcam, you can use just about any webcam software with it (there are lots of good free programs for that).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from veho is trash So I purchased this ian microscope. It never loaded the drivers as they are no good. I spoke with customer service and I feel like im talking with a 12 y/o cchild who does not know much about the product to begin with. This product is garbage. I do not reccomend this to anyone.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't expect much, very difficult focus at 400x This scope has two magnifications 20x and 400x. Nothing in-between. Focus is by a large centrally located wheel. At 400x when that is touched, the subject goes out of focus (surface delta about 50 micro meters). The stand is not bad for the price. It is mostly solid except for the part that extends out too hold the microscope, that flexes a bit, bringing things out of focus at 400x. The software comes with a potential virus. Avast picked up a virus from both the web version and the mini CD version. After removal no residual was found ( I installed anyway and didn't suffer any seemingly ill effects). It could be a false alarm, but that is easy enough to fix w/ the virus detection companies, at least inform the top ten.
