Set up at home Inside first and then mark the pole entry points with a permanent marker as in pole 1 (3 times) and then for pole 2 (3 times). The other 2 poles don't need marking as there is only one entry and exit. Look at the description as the poles cross about 2 feet before entering the ground attatchments. It will take 1 hour to unpackage and set up (without driving the stakes in the ground) for the first time only. Once you understand the configuration, which has good reason for being that way for stability purposes, it takes the advertised 10 minutes to set up for one person. This excellent tent survived one of the harshest wind and rain storms you can imagine without a drop Inside...unbelievable but true. More than a winner...exceptional!.

This is a great lightwieght 2 person tent. I have had mine for 3 seasons now and have used it many times in all types of weather and seasons. I am taking it this summer to Algonquin park for a canoe portage 1 week trip.

i have had this tent for over a year now and not once has it let me down! Even on the rainiest and windiest days i was always warm and dry and the tent stayed put. I would recommend this tent for anyone who needs a good 1 to 2 man tent!

Buy this tent!

We decided to make a last-minute camping trip, but wait! we have no gear. I fully intended to purchase a big brand-name tent, but ended up deciding on this one for some strange reason.

This tent appealed to me because of the nearly 360 view when assembled sans rain fly, as well as the fact that the rain fly goes all the way to the ground. It is a fairly compact little design and the carry bag is easy for me to manage on my own. It has a pretty unique pole structure but I have been able to completely set up and take down the tent by myself in just a few minutes. I think that the way the poles are set up allow the tent to be more stable in stormy conditions.

That having been said, our first camping trip in this tent did not go as planned. We got rained on and learned a few things: Anything that touches the fly (i.e. standing up and bumping the mesh against the rain fly) will get wet. Anything that touches the SIDES of the base (the thick material that makes up the bottom of the tent) will get wet. Don't plan on opening or closing the door of the tent a lot while it's raining; you and everything around you will get VERY wet from jostling the rain fly.

I am not disappointed in this tent because it has been my experience with several other tents in my life that all tent material "leaks" like this. I bought some heavy duty waterproof liquid and will be painting the rain fly and tent base with this before I go out camping again. The ease of setting up and taking down more than makes up for getting a little damp this weekend, and there was MORE than enough room for my husband and myself along with our dog and half of our gear (we left all the bulky stuff in the SUV during the night).

overall a great value for what you pay for it. Nice compact little tent that seems like (with a little help in the waterproofing department) it should survive a fairly hefty storm.
I definitely agree with a previous reviewer that you should set up this tent at home and get used to the pole arrangement before taking this out camping. I didn't find it necessary to mark the pole entry and exits as all the poles are the same length. The diagrams for set up could be a little better, but I figured it out easily enough.

Just roll with it...

This garbage put together was terrible. Where was this built my garage? My son broke the tent putting the stakes in the ground and we followed the directions. We ended up fixing it with some duck tape that was worth more then the tent. During the night it was pouring rain and it went through the roof and we were soaked. We spent the night in our honda civik, and it was still better then that cheap dirty useless garbage hole. We left the tent there and figured a bear would like it better.  Dont buy this you will never want to camp again unless you have layers of waterproof clothes.
