When I got the table I was surprised at how well it was packaged. The first thing we noticed when unboxing it was that the top of the table was not smooth at all. It had a fairly huge hump in one of the boards that made it. The bottom very heavy and sturdy. One of the screws that came with it was not usable, but they had sent extras so that was an easy fix. One of the premade holes did not line up so we are down one extra support screw. 

With all this being said I bought this table for half of what others I looked at cost. I can sand down the top and I may even stain it. The one screw that didn't line up does not effect the table because 8 others are holding it just fine. Overall I'm okay with this purchase and if I knew about the flaws would probably buy again at this price. Just beware that you are not getting something that is perfect by any means, but it is definitely a very nice look for the price.
