I have terrible cell service in my home and was looking for a way to remedy this problem. I was overjoyed to learn that there was a cordless phone that could do this! I had looked into Bluetooth only devices, but they must stay within 30 feet of the cell phone in order to function correctly. The vtech connect to cell cordless phone lets me move freely throughout my home while on the phone. Initial connection was a breeze! With the push of a button I was able to pair it to my iPhone. Call quality is amazing! No one has been able to tell a difference between my iPhone and the vtech phone.

I was afraid that I would have to pair my phone every time I came home, but it automatically syncs with the vtech when I walk in the door. Transferring a call from my iPhone to the vtech is a breeze as well. I select the Bluetooth option on my iPhone and then select the vtech device. The vtech handset will ring, then I just answer it and my call is transferred.

This phone will support 2 cell devices as well as a landline, and offers different ring tones for cell and land line calls. The called id works wonderfully. The vtech even has an option to download your contacts from your cell phone onto the cordless phone making it even easier to place calls. Truly more than I expected from this phone. I am amazed at how well this phone works! I would highly recommend this phone for anyone who has poor cell reception in their home. At less than $50 this is a great buy!

Excellent option for poor cell service at home

this phone set is easy to set up and works very well - our trailer is local in an area that has very poor cell signal (1 bar most times) so we put our cell phone in a window and leave it there - with this set we don't have to move the phone so the quality of the call is excellent using this set

Easy to set up and works great

Love this phone, you can connect your cell phones to it iPhone or Androids.
It saves on your cell phone batteries. I was able to use both plus load all my contacts.
Such a handy little phone.

Great cordless phone

The phone is great. It is easy to connect to and input phone directory. BUT the volume isn't loud enough when I'm on the phone. I have tried turning it all the way up but it didn't help. The speaker phone works great... I love that it auto-connects when I come thru the door...and I'm not stuck talking on my cell phone at home....

i love it but......

We have awful cell reception in our house, especially my home office. This handset has increased my call quality tenfold and I'm no longer dropping calls, since my cell stays on my desk. My only complaint is that the address book doesn't transfer completely (only 200 entries), and the headset volume doesn't go as high as I'd like. Overall, a great phone and serves it's purpose, given the price.

Great handset, especially with bad cell signal.

This phones bluetooth feature works flawlessly! My only complaint would be the volume level. It doesn't get loud enough even at its max volume.

Great Phones!!!

Seems a bit confusing to use. There are 4 buttons and it's not immediately clear which one to use. The directory doesn't scroll very well and that is a problem. Not sure I will keep it but the price makes it worthwhile anyway because it provides an extension of your cell phone when your cell is hiding.

Sound quality is good

The phone functions draw my attention. But the charger of the second phone set is not designed properly. I have to put a plastic ruler to support the phone set on the back, or it won't be charged. Besides, the wall fixture that holds the base is not designed properly, either. I have to use a hobby knife to shave some plastic off the tooling holes so that I can hang the base on the wall.

We never did get this phone to work to expectations. First, downloading the directory for cellphones to the base is unwieldy and prone to failure. Second, after we disconnected the cellphones via Bluetooth from the base, all of the contacts we had downloaded disappeared for the base; we were left with an empty directory. Third, although the cellphone/base combination of answering only one phone sounds great in principle, it was exhausting in practice. Incoming/missed calls from both are intermixed in Call History, it was difficult to discern which call was coming in from which phone. Fourth, the handset display was dim, the buttons were unevenly back-lit, and the brightness was not adjustable; it was difficult to see anything quickly and clearly. Fifth, the handset display was not easy to read; the fonts chosen were weak and thin. Sixth, the handsets seemed overly sensitive to random touch; every time we picked one of the phones up, it beeped and/or ran off and tried to do something we didn't want it to do. All in all, we gave it every opportunity to shine, we tolerated it to see if we could adjust to it, and it failed us.

We returned it.

The only reason I bought this phone was for using the connect to cell phone feature and it did not work. I connected two cellphones since it has capacity for two bluetooth connections, and they both connected perfectly, but when trying to receive a call the other person would not hear me. And when they would hear me, since once in a while I was able to pick up the call, the sound quality was bad, pretty low, even though I raised the volume in the bluetooth connection on the cell phone it still did not work. So ended up returning the unit, there were no instructions on how to use this feature.
