Ratings & Reviews+

Watts 10 Micron Carbon Filter is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's only good in a twin tank system. Watts is beginning to replace all their carbon blocks with certified organic charred coconut shells as a source for the carbon block. The trouble with that is even running the water for 5 mins like suggested prior to use. I find a few months down the road there is a sudden release of coconut particles which made the water taste funny bad and not funny good. I have a twin tank system and normally the pre-filter goes into the first tank, then the carbon block goes second tank. It took me a few sets of filters before I figured out - reverse the filters. Carbon block first and pre-filter second. This way when months down the road the coconut particles get released, the pre-filter in the second tank will trap them. The water isn't as crisp as it once was, but it is clean. On a PPM meter, it reads between 50-65 on city water and when the filters need changing the meter is in the 140+ range. Yes my photo's are for the 4" filters but they are Watt's coconut carbon blocks which this whole home version also uses.
