This electric food mill is so easy to use. There really is nothing to using 1. It is also very easy to clean. You get 3 disc that have different size holes and a spatula. This can be used for so many different things.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you're like me, you don't put anything into your body that isn't organic. So why would you feed your baby any baby food that isn't organic? This kitchen tool allows you to puree all sorts of baby foods and combinations of fruits and vegetables that are healthful for your baby or toddler. You can experiment with combinations of different fruits and vegetables, such as some carrots and parsnips, steamed, with a little bit of apple.
You can also create fabulous gravies and pureed sauces, such as a pork tenderloin sauce with sour cream, chicken broth, shallots, and organic fruit spread, with this machine. And lastly, you can make delicious soups. Gone are the days that we have to eat high-sodium, canned soups and broths because this machine makes food preparation easy. And the washing up afterward is simple. Not only that, the machine doesn't take up a lot of space. I highly recommend this mill for any new mother or father-- or cooking enthusiast. It's not a tool for everyone, but those who can benefit from it will really appreciate it!

Great for making organic baby food!

My three children and I used ours to make homemade applesauce and it was very convenient because there is no need to peel or seed, the machine takes care of it! Applesauce was very easy to make and I can't wait to try jams with our berries late this summer! Works very well. I recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Weston electric food mill is just what I have been looking for. My mother and I do a lot of canning and preserving. Ok, my mom does and I just help lol. She is constantly making jams and jellies, canning food, dehydrating and making her own powdered spices and trying new recipes. This is going to make her life so much easier! I don't mind helping but the prep work drives me crazy. This food mill eliminates a lot of that. The peeling, coring and removing seeds is so much easier by letting this do it for us. I used this recently to make some applesauce that we turn into fruit snacks in the dehydrator. Mo more cranking the handle on the peeler until my hands hurt and I didn't have to then core the apples too. With this food mill I was able to do it all in one step. It is not huge but 1.75m quart capacity is not exactly small either. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Going from a hand turn food mill to this electric one is like upgrading from a stick shift to an automatic transmission vehicle. It really does speed up the process and a huge time saver to prepare foods and fruits. We have used it multiple times for making mash potatoes and tomato sauce. It comes with 3 different blades for light to medium to coarse processing. Electric saves my hands and so much time. Every kitchen should have one of this food mill if you enjoy cooking and baking! Recommended.

A huge time saver in the kitchen for food processg

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Over the years I have thought about getting a food mill but never really found a need for it. With all the kitchen gadgets out there I try to limit mine to needed only. I have a potato masher and a ricer so I wanted to see if a food mill is more diverse or simply better. When I opened the box I surprised at how much of it was plastic but I thought I would still see how well it works. For some reason I did not notice it was all plastic from the photo. Since it is only milling soft foods I figure it doesn't need a large motor so it may work fine.

I struggled a little to get it together because the instruction manual does not describe or illustrate well how to put it together. It fits well over the bowl that the food will go into because the bottom of the feet have grips on it so I really liked that. You have to use a bowl with some weight to it or that is large as it will flip if you use a small plastic bowl like I did in the photos. It worked pretty good with the cooked potatoes as I was making mashed potatoes. It could not mill all of the food in the machine because the pressing plate does not apply a lot of pressure so a pretty good amount did not go through the disc holes. It did produce a light an airy potato and would be great for making gnocci. If you don't have a ricer this would work much better than just using a simple potato masher.

Works Better Than a Potato Masher

Product works poorly. You have to constantly reverse it so as to get the food through. Horrible at grinding stuff like boiled beans or split peas. Very time consuming.
