Quality product!  I have ordered upholstered headboards from Amazon before and was not impressed with the quality.  This daybed is GREAT!  I was very impressed with the quality and how well it went together.  I would buy more products made form this manufacturer.

Beautiful Day Bed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was impressed with this Queer Eye Wimberly Upholstered Daybed. The upholstered head board and sides are very nice and well made. When we received this daybed, I was impressed with the instructions, which were simple, and step by step. Each step showed you what pieces you needed, which screws, bolts, etc. went with it, so you could have everything there to put each section together. The scres, bolts, washers, etc., were prepackaged in a packet, so you know you have everything before you start. It looked so simple, I started putting it together in my grandson's room. It was easy to put together up to a point, where I needed another person to help hold up the pieces. It did not take very long to put it together. We then put a twin size mattress on it and it was ready to go. This daybed fit perfect in a windowed area of the room. It made the bed more useful for my grandson when his friends come over. He has his television across from it and the kids sit there, as if they are on a sofa, and they truly are enjoying it. He was wanting a sofa in his room for when his friends came over, this solves the problem and leaves plenty of available space for other things. This would be great for kids, for anyone who has a space problem because you can use it as a bed and/or a sofa. I highly recommend this product. The color blends in nicely with anything you have.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this bed for our guest room and it is very nice looking. The materials seemed to be made of way better materials than more furniture these days. I was able to put it together myself with no troubles at all. I have had several guests over and all have commented how lovely the bed looks. I have the guest room also as a game/play room for our grandchildren and I have no doubts it will hold up and have little concern of them sitting on it like a couch for games and then sleeping on it as a bed. I am very happy w/this item. The box was large and did require assistance carrying it in the house but it was very well packaged.

This bed is very nice looking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to put together, I did the assembly by myself. Design is great and overall look is decent quality. Fabric is thin, so I wouldn't recommend this for children or animals where the fabric could be punctured.

Easy to assemble, for light use only

The bed itself seems very nice. However we were dissapointed when we put our new Nectar mattress on top and saw how awkward it looked. This bed will definately look better with a thinner (and less comfortable) mattress.

Nice bed, but it needs thin mattress

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would like to say good things about the Queer Eye Wimberly Upholstered Daybed but I have been struggling with how to do that. It is stylish. The design aesthetics are excellent. It has a very contemporary appearance. I love the look. The size is excellent. It isn't just a sofa. It is a bed. It can fit a twin mattress or a futon mattress. In either case, it is a roomy bed.

Now, the downside. The image shows a light grey cushion on the daybed. If you didn't check, you would believe that it comes with this cushion. It doesn't. When I first received it, I thought that the shipper had forgotten to put it into the shipping box. I went back to the description before contacting Walmart. It stated "Thanks to the Wimberly's construction, your mattress will enjoy support and breathability for its extended lifetime (mattress sold separately)." Yes, mattress sold separately. So, why was it shown with a mattress? That was disappointing. I put the old futon cushion on the daybed. It fit perfectly. My son had a wonderful, thick cushion for the daybed.

On to issue number two. The description states "Built with a sturdy frame and sleek metal legs, the Wimberly Upholstered Daybed also includes a secured bentwood slat system that removes the need for you to purchase any additional box spring or foundation." Yes, the frame is sturdy but the slats aren't. My eleven-year-old grandson sat down hard shortly after we put the daybed together. When he did, I heard a loud crack. He didn't sit that hard and he isn't heavy. His weight did not break a slat He just didn't sit gently. Later, my son called me to tell me that a second slat had cracked when he sat on it. The slats are made of a softwood. I would guess that they are pine. And they are very thin. You can look at the images to see this. Futons, sofas, and daybeds need to have substantial slats. People do sit on them. If someone heavier had sat on this daybed, I think that many slats would have broken. Now I need to find new stronger slats to replace the broken ones. Hardwoods are a great idea for sofa or daybed slats. Futons usually have metal slats.

I know that Wimberly is a quality furniture company. Their furniture is sold at high-end furniture stores. Raymour & Flanigan, Better Homes and Gardens, Good Housekeeping and others sell or have sold Wimberly furniture. So, I am not sure what happened with this product but something isn't right. 

So, can I recommend this daybed? Sorry but no.
