Ratings & Reviews+

Winsome Mabel Kitchen Cart Walnut/Natural - 94843 is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very attractive and solid cart This cart is a definite step up in both looks and build quality from typical inexpensive ready-to assemble furniture. I am very happy with my purchase. A more detailed evaluation can be found below. Packaging: The components were very well packaged to prevent damage during shipping. The outer box was lined on all sides with approx. 2" thick styrofoam. The top was in its own inner box, followed by a thin layer of styrofoam, then the remainder of the components, each individually wrapped in foam. Parts: The frame and top of the cart are real wood. The back, drawer bottom, and inset panels are thin plywood. No MDF, particle board, or cardboard here. The top is multiple joined pieces of wood rather than one solid piece. Some of the joints are more visible than others, but most you have to look pretty closely to see them. The wooden pieces are stained on all surfaces, not just the external ones. Everything is natural grain, no laminate or faux wood grain. Assembly: To assemble the cart, you will need a hex wrench (provided) and a Phillips head screwdriver. I would also recommend a rubber mallet as some of the dowels and shelf pins are a tight fit and need to be tapped in. There are no written assembly instructions, only pictures with part labels and occasional notes such as the location of grooves, etc. The parts themselves are not labeled, however, so you have to identify them from the pictures in the instructions. I had no problems as I am well accustomed to ready-to-assemble furniture, but this may be confusing for some. Some steps recommend having two people, but I was able to assemble this just fine by myself. The only issue I had was with a piece of metal lodged in one of the holes for the shelf pins. Even after pulling out as much as possible using pliers, I had to hit the pin rather forcefully with a hammer to get it in. Other notes: The heights of the shelves are not adjustable as is, but since they simply rest on common shelf pins, you could always drill more holes if you want to adjust them. The cabinet doors pivot on pins as well, so you can't adjust them if they don't line up evenly (mine were pretty close, though). The drawer just slides on wooden rails that fit into grooves on the sides of the drawer. I wouldn't expect it to hold much weight if pulled out very far - in fact, it tilts down slightly under its own weight. There is a wooden stop, however, that can be rotated into position to prevent the drawer from falling completely out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly recommended I bought this kitchen cart for the extra counter space and the cabinet that would allow me to hide my big lobster pot and other things. I was nervous because none of the photos showed the inside of the cabinet. I am so happy I bought this. Although you assemble it, when all is said and done, it is a great piece of furniture. There is a shelf inside the cabinet that can be removed. There is only one set of holes so you can't adjust the height unless, like me, you are or know someone who is handy with a drill. I did add a set of holes about 2" above the pre-made holes so the gallon of vinegar and the pot can fit and I can still make use of the top portion of the cabinet. This is a GREAT addition to my kitchen!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful Addition I would give this cart a 5-star rating if the pieces were clearly marked (which they're not). Once you open the box and take out all the parts, it's like putting a puzzle together. I have assembled a lot of pieces of furniture in the past and this one has been the most difficult one ever. If you don't have patience and skill, I would advise you not to get it. However, once it is assembled, it is a solid, handsome piece of furniture.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Winsome Mabel Two-tone kitchen cart I am a 69 year old woman and I put this together by myself. None of the pieces are marked, so first you have to take stickers and mark each piece by comparing it to the pictures in the instruction leaflet. Then follow each step in order. Turned out great

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this cart! I live in a small apartment with barely any counter top space. I bought this to help with the over crowding for my small appliances. It's a beautiful piece of furniture. Since I'm disabled, I have it shipped to the store so it can be put together. I am very happy with my first one. I liked it so much that I bought a second one. Unfortunately, the workers that loaded the pickup truck pushed it in the wrong way & broke the leg so I had to bring it back right away to get a refund. I was so disappointed since this was the last one in stock. I'm praying that they come back with this again since I would love to have another that matches the first one. It's very sturdy & has so much space. I have my electric pressure cooker & my Ninja Mega Kitchen Center on it. Very, very nice. Hope to get another one soon.
