This is the best electric shaver that I have owned. Its the first non-rotary and I love it. Will never go back to that kind of shaver. Its faster, closer, easy to clean head makes it tops on my list. We'll see how long the head lasts and what it cost to replace that when the time comes.

ive used both types of electric shavers,round heads and straight heads,this left my face smooth and with out iritating around kneck

Great service

I traded up from a six year old series 3.  Wow what a difference in ease and smoothness.  I have a thick growth especially after not shaving for a day or two, but this shaver powers right through it.  It is much easier to handle and lighter than the series three.  The only negative is the trimmer.  It is not integrated into the shaver like in the series 3, so it is necessary to remove the shaving head and replace it with the trimmer, then back to the shaver when finished.

Great shaver

I had this same razor before and it was great.

So far, I'd give this shaver a 5 out of 5, except that you have to remove the head to change over to the trimmer attachment... it's not difficult, just not as simple as my prior Braun shaver that you just pushed a button and the trimmer was ready to go.  Very quiet and does a good job shaving close.

Nice shaver...quiet and close shave.

Not a smooth  shave.  Fairly ok on face, but on neck area, not good.  Misses or fails to cut smooth. I would not have bought it if I had known how poorly it cut..

Terrible

I really wanted to like this shaver, I really did. But after a few months of use, it continued to leave stubble behind that felt like I was starting the day with a 5 o'clock shadow. If you are looking for a close shave, this will not be the shaver for you. The features are nice, it looks like, but it performs terribly. And it seems like the further up you move in the Braun series, the lower the quality of shave. I've had better shaves with their base shaver, than with this one. However, I switched to another brand, and am now able to get the close shave that I've wanted in all of the years I spent with Braun.

Going to return. Gives razor burn bad after having to go over and over to cut all the hairs short.
