Ratings & Reviews+

XDVD1262 2.0 DIN Multimedia DVD Receiver is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Excellent entry level double-din unit. Day 2 of using this unit, here are my praises and complaints. Complaints- the iPod interface, you can't easily scroll through your artists selection. I'm using an iPod Classic 5th gen 160gb and have a TON of music on it, you LITERALLY have to scroll A-Z using this unit. The ad description says you can operate the iPod via this unit or through the iPod itself, but my experience has been head-unit only. Complaint#2 The Aux input 3.5mm jack on the front of the unit. I plugged an aftermarket Sirius tuner into it, located only 6 inches from the headunit, and experienced a minor amount of electrical interference noise. My Sirius tuner has a built in FM modulator that gets the job done, but expected a dedicated line connection to be better. Noticed NO interference with the iPod connection though. Praises- for the price, this is an EXCELENT head unit, screen resolution is good, actually have a tv tuner hooked up to mine using the rear A/V inputs, and works great, even with the car running, plan on installing additional monitors in the future. DVD works great as well, really like the AM/FM tuner screen. I won't tell you how to get the video to operate without the parking brake on. "Google it!" In all, it's $150, and a good deal if you ask me. I opted for the 2 year warranty for $15, I would recommend getting it, being the previous owner of a Kenwood Double-Din unit that had a screen failure that cost me $250 to repair. STAY AWAY from the other Double-Din video screens on Wal-mart, XO Vision and the like. If you're going thrifty, this is your head unit!
