Project Essentials:

Chunky Yarn
(3.5 oz/100 g; 108 yds/99 m)
Pumpkin (28630) 1 ball
Size U.S. L/11 (8 mm) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge.


Approx 7½” [19 cm] wide x 9½” [24 cm] high.
8 sc and 9 rows = 4” [10 cm].
Chain (ch) 15.
1st row: (RS). 1 single crochet (sc) in 2nd chain (ch) from hook. 1 sc in each ch to end of chain. Turn. 14 sc.
2nd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Turn.
Repeat (rep) last row until work from beg measures 19” [48.5 cm], ending on a WS row.
Next row (button loop): Ch 1. 1 sc in each of next 7 sc. Ch 8. 1 sc in each of next 7 sc. Fasten off.
Fold piece in half. Using tapestry needle, sew side seams. Sew button to
front to correspond to button loop.
