Bought this wanting an actual lip stain. Meaning one that goes on and then peels off, leaving lips stained with no product left on lips. That is not the ELF Glossy Lip Stain! However, I fell in love with the way this feels on my lips! The formula is light and creamy! The color is beautiful! I wouldn't recommend for a lip stain but I would highly recommend for a light lip stick or if you want a light color! Your lips will thank you! I will purchase again and want all the colors!

Not a 'true' lip stain but I love this product

walmart.com

This is a true, cool brown…no warm orange/peach!
I was going to give it 4 stars … only because it fades a little. It doesn't last through eating…which is odd because it DOES withstand several applications of lipgloss 😘
It's very smooth. You can use as a liner or full lip. You can keep it glossy or blot for a more matte look. The applicator is soft and easy to control. It will not dry out your lips💋
If you're just standing around (looking pretty) %26 don't mind having to touch up, it's a great choice.

NICE, cool toned brown!

Pros: it is longer lasting than a regular lipstick or gloss, and it doesn't gum up on cups. It is not as drying as a stain, which I appreciate since I dislike dry lips more than sticky cups. Cons: it doesn't last as long as I would have thought a stain should. I'm giving it 5 stars because it's the closest to being a "one product wonder" that I've found so far. Nice packaging too: it closes with a satisfying click.

It is a little of both

elfcosmetics.com

It is a lip oil and stain at a gair price. Don't be intimidated by the deep color in the tube because the color goes on very much lighter. I use it over a lip stain I use for a bit of moisture. It's great for those who do not like a bold lip color, more like a tinted gloss that dries. I would recommend to give it a try.

Good Product

I got it in Pinkies Up expecting it to be pink, but it's solidly a peach shade which I'm not thrilled about. It's a sheer shade so I may be able to use it with something else, but it's very comfortable to wear and not sticky or tacky at all. I'll probably get another shade that I like better, but the formula is nice. For $3 you can't hate it. Tube is smaller than I expected.

It's not bad overall

it definitely does stain and feels nice on the lips. i reach for it often, but the stain doesn't last too long depending on the amount you put on (anywhere from 2-6hrs) and it comes of easily when you eat. the brown stain could be darker and i don't like the greenish tint to the brown lip product fresh from the tube, but the stain it leaves behind is more neutral

good enough for its price

I love lip stains and for the price, I will definitely be repurchasing these! I got the beige and red and love them both. Although I wish the color would last a little longer, they do work really well and once the gloss wears off it leaves a beautiful color on the lips.

Great Lip Stain for the Price!

I loved this product the first time I bought it. The color of Pinkies Up was more of a brownish pink. It looked great. I repurchased it, and it's a bright pink now 😢 I don't like it anymore.

Photos: old one (fave) on the right, new one (eww) on the left.

Color changed

You need to shake the container very well before applying or it is not glossy at all and even with that it's a little glossy.

This product is terrible! 1) Bought Pinkies Up and it's not pink at all, it's brown! 2) It does NOT stain at all, it just like a lip gloss, it's super sticky, never dries, and comes off almost immediately!

NOT a stain! Color NOT what is shown/advertised!
