The instrument needed tuning (not surprising - most stringed instruments need some tweaking). When my teenager daughter tried to tune a string, it immediately snapped. Bear in mind, she is a musician that has tuned multiple instruments before. I guess I'm going to have to either figure out how to restring this thing or take it back.
For the 15 minutes we had it, though, it had a nice tone.
On the upside, the delivery was lightning fast - that's why I'm giving the seller a good review. It's not their fault that the product is too fragile.

It lasted about 15 minutes

I bought one of these about 15 years ago and enjoyed the sound so much that I bought one for my brother's kids. I never experienced the problem with strings breaking as easily as the other reviewer said. The sound is beautiful, and children who have no music experience can pick it up and play a song immediately because of how the songs slip underneath the strings to show you what note to play. But it is necessary to have someone in the household who can tune it.

Very good
