It's super light and I love the handheld vacuum that comes off so easy and I also love the self emptying container. That's like the coolest thing I've ever seen and I love it! It's actually perfect for my studio apartment. I wouldn't use it if I had a big house to vacuum every day because the canister is not very big but I definitely give it five stars.

Perfect for small areas

walmart.com

I ordered this because I have several Shark products that I love, and the self-emptying feature seemed like a game changer for our household. With our current vacuum cleaner, my husband almost never remembers to empty the canister after he's done using it, so when I use it, I have to empty it before I can even start cleaning. See how that could be a problem?I saw the ad for this vacuum cleaner on tv, and ordered it right away. Getting this WandVac set up was super easy. It's very sleek and modern looking, too. It charged pretty quickly, and then I finally got to use it.

I was SO disappointed. My first observation was that the tiny canister on the vacuum itself seemed way too small to clean more than my living room rug. I proceeded to vacuum and noticed the battery was dying super fast. We have a small house (just under 1000 sq ft), but I managed to vacuum the entire place right before the battery died (it was about 10 minutes). To my surprise, the debris canister wasn't even full! When I set the vacuum cleaner on the self-emptying “dock”, it was pure magic. Everything I expected it to be!

I got my other vacuum cleaner out and went over the living room rug and got SO MUCH more debris. I concluded at that point this “life changing” gadget was not going to be a part of my life. To the vacuum cleaner's defense, we do have 4 indoor cats, so it needs to be able to pick up fur without issue. We vacuum and sweep every day, so there's never a huge accumulation of fur, litter, etc. This machine isn't advertised as a “Pet Hair Vacuum”, so there's that. I can see how it could be useful for someone else, but I returned it.

Could be good for someone else

Horrible! Waste of money. The canister in the vacuum is so small and clogs easily. The canister (bigger one) in the self emptying component is about the size of a regular shark vacuum. The “holes” are so small that they all clog constantly. I have zero carpet so only using on hard wood floors and still only picking up the very small stuff bc the front sits so low to the ground, otherwise just pushes it across the floor. I have dogs and most sharks can handle the hair fine. This can't. This is for VERY small messes. The filters are junk and very small so they clog too. There is so much dirt that gets in them that they need cleaned at least weekly, which defeats the purpose of the canister if dust is flying around cleaning out the filters constantly. I've never been more disappointed in a product, especially for the high price!

Horrible. Everything clogs, everywhere.

They shipped me a used vacuum cleaner. The head was full of dust and it was clearly used. Never shopping at Walmart again. How do they think they can get away with passing used items off as new? This is simple stuff. You don't do this and expect to have repeat business.

Disappointed. Misled.

There is no suction!!! I did my research. I thought I finally found what I needed in my price range. But no. There was a big ball of hair and all it did was push it. I have three dogs. What a waste of my time and money. The only good thing is the self empty feature. That worked great. 👎👎👎

Waste of time and money. Just spring for the dyson

Cons: I have an open floor plan, kitchen, dining room and living room, 38' X 18' which is the main area I purchased this unit to clean. Complaints, battery life is dismal, I cleaned around the edges of the room, less than 15 minutes, probably closer to 10, the battery out of juice and I hadn't even gotten to the main part of the room.

Suction is not very good, I had to roll over the same whatever it was several times before it was sucked up. If you roll over debris forward it picks it up, pull backwards it does not.

Dog hair, it does an OK job but the hair sticks to the outside of the vacuum head edges instead of being sucked up, which I had to remove by hand.

The dust cup/bin, very tiny, I would say a measuring cup or less in capacity. After going around the edges of the room as mentioned above, dust cup/bin was full, and the battery was discharged.

Also, it has a swivel head, it's almost impossible to go in a straight line because the head is vacillating back and forth. Not a big deal but if you are cleaning where the floor meets the wall, it's hard to keep it against the wall.

Pros: it was easy to get under coffee tables and things as the handle goes flat to the floor. Self-cleaning part was nice.

For the price, even though i got in on sale, performance wise it's just not worth the money; so, I will be returning the unit and go back to my corded Shark Vac. I've always had positive things to say about Shark as I have several other Shark products, but with this unit, they dropped the ball as far as performance and design.

Very Disappointed

this isnt a deep clean vacuum. definitely a maintenance clean. attachment is great for baseboards. love it for cereal spills, little spills and multiple times a day vacuum. this and my hydro vac and keep my floors spotless. self cleaning feature is a game changer. totally worth the price!

a must have if you have kids or pets!

I love this vacuum. I own a Kirby vacuum which is hard to beat on suction. However, the Kirby is heavy and is corded which is a nuisance when vacuuming all over, dragging that cord all over. This Shark cordless is light and easy to use. It isn't for deep cleaning nor for cleaning the floors throughout the house. But for those crumbs or mishaps, this is the vacuum for the job. Since it is cordless, it is easy to pull out of the stand and start using. I don't have to empty the canister each time because it is self-emptying whenever you place the vacuum into the stand. Continuous charging so always ready for your job. You can vacuum the floor and detach the handvac and use on the furniture or tight spots. My husband will get this Shark and vacuum his TV room when crumbs are all over his floor. That is a BIG plus in itself!!

Shark cordless, self-emptying vacuum

I'm very dissatisfied with the run time on this vacuum. It literally dies within 15 mins. I can't even get my kitchen and living room finished. The power also isn't very strong as I'm surprised being it's a shark. I don't like that the middle lint cup pops out and everything falls out all over. It also leaves black marks on the floor sometimes from the wheels. I do love the fact that it's light and easy to maneuver and the attachment that comes off as useful, but also not as powerful as I thought it would be.

Not very satisfied

Love how lightweight this is but it does not keep a charge long enough for us to do downstairs and upstairs in one go. We are actually ordering a different one that isn't cordless because this just doesn't cut it. If we had a small home it might be a different story.

Lightweight but doesn't do the whole job

Horrible! Gaspillage d'argent.
