The saltwater system's unique 2 stage technology uses an E.C.O. (electrocatalytic oxidation) process designed specifically for above-ground pools. To begin the E.C.O. process, a small amount of salt is deposited into your pool. The electrolyte cell in the system then uses the salt to produce sodium hypochlorite. This results in cleaner, gentler water for you and your family to enjoy.

The Intex Krystal Clear Saltwater System requires a filter pump with a flow rate between 700 and 3,000 GPH and is for use with a maximum pool size of 15,000 gallons. The system machine has an improved control panel with a digital display, an easy access button, and an added power button for convenience. The setup process is also simple, with included instructions.

good morning it's another beautiful day in paradise. i was finally able to get my intex unit up and running on auto. the reason it took so long was because my old intex unit went down and told me that i had low salt. i put in a 40lb. bag and it still read low salt, this went on for a total of 4 bags, then i realized my unit was sending me faulty readings. it took a couple of weeks of draining about 1 inch oer day and then refilling the pool. it's up and running great now thanks terry

Great product for my 18' x 48" Bestway above ground pool. Keps my pool clorinated, and I rarely have to shock or pyt any extra chlorine in.

Easy to set up. Made it so much easier to take care of my 20' round 54" high pool. After start up the only thing I had to do for 3 1/2 months was get leaves out. No chemicals necessary.

This makes pool life simple

I've had a saltwater system before and I absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, my house burned down, my new system was still in the box on my porch and was destroyed. I hope to purchase a replacement

The Saltwater system is really nice to have, i have used Intex saltwater systems for years because i liked this option instead of using chemicals in my pool. The units work well except for the low salt warnings that you get over time. I am actually on my 3rd unit over the past 5 or 6 years (and just ordered another one as a backup in the event the one I have been using this year has the 'Low Salt Issue' occur again. Even cleaning the cells per the online instructions from Intex does not fix the issue. I know it actually is NOT a low salt situation because the water has been professionally tested and the pool water tests 'good' for the amount of salt in the pool AND putting a brand new electrode in the Saltwater system ended up working fine.

I ❤️ our system, but watch for Low Salt Warnings

This is the second Intex product I have purchased.  The first worked fine for 3 years but stopped working late last summer.  I  purchased the cell but it still didn't work.  So I am now trying it again.

Salt Water Pool is Great

It quit working 2 weeks after we purchased it. Our pool is only 8,400 gallons and this system is for up to 15,000.
