I needed to replace4 my old deep fryer and after looking at reviews from several locations I chose this one - I have only used it once so far but I was very pleased - I deep fry frozen french fires and haddock mostly - the frozen french fries came out excellent - my old frier had a long re-heat time so the food absorbed a lot of oil - this unit had a quick re-heat after the food was put in - the fries were very crispy - using the chart in the instruction book seemed to be right on for the quantity I cooked - I suspect that coated food like fish will come out good too -

I bought this fryer back in August 2021. I wanted a chance to use it a couple of times before I wrote a review and I've actually used it a LOT since I bought it. 
This fryer replaced a deep fryer I had been using for almost 10 years and I was sure nothing could work as well, but I was proven wrong.
This Presto Pro Fryer is wonderful and I am so happy I purchased it. I have fried many different foods several times and everything has turned out great so far. Fries, taters, fish sticks, onion rings, shrimp, poppers, chicken, corn dogs, cheese sticks, spring rolls, batter dipped veggies and more.
It heats up quickly, stays hot while cooking and food comes out crispy like it should, in a short time and not greasy at all. Large sized basket holds enough food for both of us, so I'm not having to fry as long.
Clean up is a breeze. The basket and cord store easily inside the fryer itself when I'm not using it and because it's a rectangle, it takes up less space. It has a magnetic plug that is secure, but I do wish the cord was a bit longer.
Very happy I finally purchased this Presto ProFry.

The product is exactly as described on the website.  Able to read reviews made the decision easy.  Once received it was made of good quality and easy to use.

Light goes off when it reaches its desired temperature you can mistakenly think it's off.

Really liked this deep fryer until it quit.... Had for 3 1/2 months, used it 3 times. Had my company over and had my chicken all ready and this unit would NOT turn on. Did exactly what it said, press reset button. Nothing... Very disappointed.  Will call hot line Monday and hope this company does the right thing.

After having the previous model of the digital Presto Pro-fry for many years this is a huge disappointment. The basket is so small I don't think it's big enough for a chicken breast. I don't know why Presto quit making the digital but they lost my business. Went to Krups 4.5L.

Tiny Basket

This came in a previously opened package, with torn packaging internally and I don't know if it has been used before or not. It came in Amazon packaging with Amazon labeling. My husband and I both believe this was probably a return. Walmart...I trusted you but yet again you have mislead me. I will not be shopping Walmart on line in the future and will stick to Amazon as it seems this is where your stuff is coming from.
