razor quad

Bought two of the McGrath version quads on sale when my kids were 5yrs and 7yrs, and they thrashed them daily. Multiple crashes and playing bumper cars with minimal damage. I did have to tighten the wheels & axles and adjust the brake after a few months. The run time usually outlasted my kids attention span and I didn't notice any reduction in run time after owning for about 14 months. We never left the chargers plugged in after full. The batteries are standard 7ah and cheap to replace online but we never needed to replace them. After 14 months of ownership we upgraded to TRX90s and sold the McGrath quads for a profit, because my 2yr old isn't ready to ride yet. But when my 2yr olds hands get big enough to use the hand brake, we plan on buying him a razor quad as they're a perfect transition between a power wheel and a gas quad. The only downside ever noticed was a lack of power going up the big hills on our property, but that's expected with burly kids on a 350watt motor.

I have had this thing for 6 to 7 years and it is really tough. I am NOT a person who goes easy on equipment. I have done pretty much everything Razor said not to do (while still being safe). 
I highly recommend this product. Razor did a good job on this thing. The only thing about this quad is that it does have lead acid batterys. You may have to replace then every year.

Extremely durable

This is so much better than powerwheels. It's very well made, it is heavy which is great because it gives it a low center of gravity and does not roll easily. It says 8+ but my 6 year old boy, who is small for his age, handles this thing easily. The twist throttle was easy to learn. It's also nice that the speed is more than powerwheels so a bit for fun, however not so fast that I have to worry about it being dangerous. The charging port is also super easy so I don't have to take the battery out. I think you get a lot for the price.

Great quality!

We got this for my 5 year old son for Christmas. Since it's been a great quad for him. We have many gas powered four wheelers and we are using this as a stepping stone towards a gas one for him. It goes great around our house and into the woods on the trails. We live on a hill and it handles that pretty well also.  
Great product and we love it!

Great quad

This is a great little machine but has its problems. It's batteries are terrible and you will have to replace them if you want to enjoy the machine for more than 20 minutes at a time. It is built much better than any power wheel. Not even comparable really. I would recommend getting this quad online from somewhere that's giving a good deal and immediately upgrade to 20 amp hour lithium-ion batteries. If you get 24 volts it will stay the same speed. If you get 36 volts it will go 50% faster. I would also really recommend getting your kid the wheel spacer kit because the quad is a little narrow and can be flipped pretty easily. If you're willing to put the work in and do a couple simple modifications you can have a machine that will last your kid a long time. I would recommend from ages 3 to 7 years old.  I'm not sure why they advertise it for eight plus. But honestly if you just want your kid to mess around in the yard here and there. You're probably better off with a Power Wheels JeepAnd a tool battery adapter

Potential to be great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Product that arrived was not the product pictured. Atv has no reverse or speed control. Bought the exact same atv for half the price for my younger kids, thinking this one was bigger/more suitable for my 8 year old. They're the exact same but this one was 300.00 more. What a waste.

Not worth the price

Purchased this for our granddaughter and she used it for a few months.  Just stopped working, tried charging it more than once and says it's fully charged until she tried running it then states low all the time. Tried getting a new battery but almost impossible to find one that works. Website is useless to find a battery that will work. Do not recommend this at all. Very disappointing  would give a zero but lowest rating is a one.

We have 2 of these.  One is slightly older and the other is 4 months old.  They will not hold and charge and the on off button won't stay engaged.  Our friends have the exact same one and they had the same issues with the On/off switch.  What's most disheartening, the 4 month old one that we keep under cover unless in use, and is only ridden in our back yard, is just past it's 90 day warranty.  We are just out the money.
