[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have not had time to put the chains onto test the fit. The actual chain is of lighter quality than expected.

Very easy to install and these tire chains fit my 2 wheel drive 2004 Ford F-150 perfectly. The diamond design seems to give the tire more traction than other type chains. I am from Idaho and have used tire chains often and these are my new favorite chains. Made in the U.S. and they were shipped from Clackamas Oregon.

There are several videos on youtube that show how easy these are to install. I downloaded to both my wife's smart phone as she has a pair of these for her car as well. She got stuck in the snow after work and was able to watch the video and then put the chains on and in minutes she was back on the road.

Autotrac Self-Tightening Tire Chains

Though we haven't experienced snow and ice yet, I have practiced putting the chains on and taking them off.

These chains come with instructions, printed on a plastic sheet, which you lay down on the down during installation. I used them once so far, and am very pleased with them.

Quick and easy

They were a little more difficult to get on then I had hoped but I'm glad I pre-fitted them before I might actually need them in a  snowstorm to get over a pass

Tire chains

The chains are easy to put on if you follow directions carefully.  I haven't plowed with them yet so can't say how well they actually work but they look durable.

Looks good on tires

This is the 2nd Auto-Trac product I've owned. Both were very very tight fits. The cable isn't long enough. My tires were the right size for the product in both cases. If there is any snow under the tire at all, you have to clear every last drop away first. Then you have to wrestle and pull the chain tight to have any hope of connecting it. I did manage to get the chains on, and I had confidence they were doing a good job.  But they are just too tight during install. Just make the cables longer and the ratchet would adjust as they're supposed to.   When the 2nd pair I bought for a different car with different tires (different auto-trac model for that different tire) had the same problem, I had enough and returned them.

they don't fit properly.  great concept. but mine where hard to put on. glad I didn't snow when i went to the mountains.

I was so confident getting this before the trip to mammoth to be ahead of the game. It said on the chain box that it would fit my tire which is 265.65.18- NOT!!! When the time that I was going to attach both end, there was a big gap and was so short! Thankfully my brother have chains already in place in his truck and drove me to the nearest auto shop. Which I had to spend $165.00 here at Mammoth since I don't have any other option. Will return the item as soon I get back from my vacation. If you decide to purchase the item, make sure to try it on your tire before leaving.
