My husband installed it with no problems. You can change the speed with the pull cord and the fan remains quiet and doesn't rattle around a lot.  It is such a difference from our previous fan! The light is there if you want it - our porch gets a lot of natural light so we don't tend to turn the light on much. This is a great brand and I expect we will enjoy this fan for a good long time!

He first had to remove our old rickety one. He says the instruction booklet is very clear and easy to understand. Honeywell does an excellent job of listing each step, with clear directions, and diagrams. Our new fan looks amazing hanging in our daughter's bedroom. We chose the Glen Alden design. It is lovely! It does a great job of cooling. We like the adjustable speeds. Each speed can be adjusted with a pull chain. The fan also adjusts for winter use, so that the warm air blows back down, away from the ceiling. This is a real money saver!!! The light is also controlled by a pull chain. The glass globe is beautiful. I appreciate the stableness of this fan. There is no shaking, even on the highest speed. The light is nice and bright. I can already see that this is a well-constructed fan that Honeywell has put out, and it will be in use for many years to come. This design would look perfect in most homes. I highly recommend having at least one Honeywell fan in every home before the hot weather hits. Their prices can't be beat.

Very pretty

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like many other reviewers, I have to say that the color isn't white, as specified. It's a nice cream, or off-white, if that is acceptable.  It generally runs very quiet, and easy to install. There is no remote control, but that is not an issue for us.It moves the air well and hugs the ceiling nicely.
