For Pets

I love this brand of ice melt! It works very fast and does not harm pets paws! This was the driving force for me the first time I bought this! I've not bought such a big pail as this before but overall it will last quite awhile which makes this very economical. So if you're considering this for yourself I can tell you it works great! On a side note it does not leave a white film on my hardwood floors if we track some in on our boots! I think you will be quite satisfied!

Really melts the snow away and my dog don't have hurt paws. Other brands she has her foot up like she got hurt. So worth the money to keep the pets healthy and happy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Safe Paw is an effective ice melt and easy on animal paws. My dogs showed no signs of ouchy after walking over this many times on our journeys in and out of the house. It melts the ice, yes, not as effectively as other melts that are unsafe for paws. I find I am using more of it and it tends to melt straight down, as opposed to spreading out and really doing the  job hardcore ice melters do. I will continue with Safe Paw because I do feel it is not harmful to my pets.

Dogs seem unaffected

This is a great product. Worked this passed winter. The dogs appreciated it also making the steps safe for them to go up and down.

This product avtually works as described ... melts ice %26 snow %26 prevents refteexing. Bought because of "pet safe"  will buy agaun for quality. Its a bit pricey, but worth it to protect our furnabies

I like that it melts the ice and doesnt our dogs paws!  However, i can never get the plastic lid off even after peeling the plastic strip as instructed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first time buying the bulk container but I've been using the product for about 5 years and it works as described.   I have a partial stone and grass area sectioned off for my dogs during the winter that gets very little sun and this has been effective at melting the ice that forms in the area.

Effective Product

The Ice Melt does it's job however, trying to open the container is NOT that easy for a senior citizen who may not have the strength. Short of setting off a bomb, I had to wait until my son-in-law had the time to come over to open it and even then he had trouble opening it.

Need a better opening method

Really bad not worth the money. It did not melt ice. It really was horrible and expensive. I would not recommend it. I bought it cause it's dog friendly but it didn't work. I put 35 pounds on my driveway 35 pounds that's a lot. They said 1 pound does 100 ft.² 35 pounds can through 100 ft.². It's junk. Don't waste your money.
