Provides gentle flavor enhancement for fish.

This is my go to wood for smoking salmon. Bar none, Bear Mountain are the best brand of pellets I have ever used.  I constantly receive compliments about the salmon I have smoked.  The other trick I have learned is to brine the salmon prior to smoking.  The Alder pellets give the salmon a nice flavor without overpowering it.  Definitely try some.

Bear Mountain is my go to source for amazingly dependable wood pellets. I have never had an issue with quality and Alder is one of my favorite woods to smoke with. I have been a Bear Mountain customer for a few years now and I see no need to switch.

Bear Mountain is awesome.

Bear Mountain is hands down the best.  I like Alder due to is mellow smoke flavor, it goes with fish, pork, chicken, and can be used for beef. Though oak or mesquite is preferred for beef.  One downside is Alder pellets are difficult to find. Even on Bear Mountains website it's still a challenge.

I used these pellets to smoke some salmon.  My wife said it was the best salmon she ever tasted!  I will smoke some more this week!  The alderwood was an excellent choice for the smoker!`

My family really likes this one because it has a very mild smoke flavor to it so if you're just grilling chicken with non-bbq flavors it's a nice option.

I have been burning pellets for 30 years. The Lignetic brand pellet is the worst pellet I have used. The pellets won't burn without cleaning the burn pot twice daily. Even though the Lignetc pellet is less expensive than most brands, they are not worth the aggravation and wear-and-tear on your pellet stove. I'd give Lignetic pellets a -10 if possible.
