We needed a large ramp to hold two mobility scooters but it was hard to find the right size. Some other brands were up to four times more expensive and really heavy. The Apex ramp is aluminum for weight savings and incredibly well made! The built-in ramp really helps and nice not to need yet another piece of equipment to load and unload. The anti-rattle hitch pin is a great touch too.

Seems like a good product, with decent fit and finish. Probably about as light weight as you can get for a product like this. I bought it for a 250 lb scooter, since I didn't want a specialized motorcycle carrier that I couldn't use for anything else.

Nice Ramp!

Well pleased with my carrier. Nice and roomy fo transporting my snow dog machine. A great loading ramp, nice and long. I wish the ramp was hinged for a little less wind noise. It rates 5 stars. THANKS

Cargo carriers

Very happy with this carrier. It works out very well for me and is so convenient. The only thing I would suggest is putting tail lights on it. When it is folded in up position it blocks the tail lights of the vehicle.

Scooter Carrier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Light but well constructed. Design flaw with the locking mechanism. When the ramp is upright the pin doesnt reach the locking hole. I removed the retaining pin and drilled a new hole. I put in a new pin a it works perfect.

Excellent product. Not so heavy that one person cant put it

I loved the easy use of this ramp. It works perfect for my needs. Received with a slight dent but nothing that would hinder the use. Ramp is light weight and easy to fold up and store on my vehicle. No rattling either.

Transport Ramp

We bought this wheelchair ramp with cargo carrier to store a generator and propane tanks. It is easy to assemble and install/remove. I would highly recommend it.

Perfect for rolling generator!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A mechanically directed person assembled easily, but as for me a person who is quite disabled, I would not have been able to assemble it.As for removing it from my vehicle it also is a significant problem as I can not get down to remove the bolt holding the carrier. When I want to move it m\from my van to install it on my camper, I am going to have to get help. The weight is also a problem for me and my wife. I am looking for a system with a hydraulic table enabling us to move it and lift it when removing it and installing on another vehicle. I have looked at lawn mower lifts, but due to their slant in lower position I do not see that it will work. Motorcycle lifts may work with modification to the platform, but have not yet tried that. When on my Buick and folded it makes my park assist unusable. As for loading and unloading my scooter it works very well.

I would buy it again as it is large enough for my scooter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the carrier to carry my electric tricycle. It was one of the few carriers wide enough to accommodate the rear wheels. The ramp allows me to load and unload it and when not in use, it folds up. Disadvantage is it blocks my backup camera. I had my local U-Haul dealer install both the needed hitch and assemble and install the carrier for me (It was $75.00 total for both services). I am a 75 year old female so if I can handle this, anyone can.

Had bad experiences with the cheap steel carriers with ramps with my old chair that weighed 225 lbs. Based on good reviewed of this product and the fact that the aluminum slats appeared to be wider with less space between them, I purchased it to go on my vehicle to hold my new rehab chair which weighs just over 400 lbs. My daughter and I got the carrier assembled, installed, and solidly in place, relocated the license plate and added a light, got a winch to help us load my chair (we're both disabled), and all other necessary equipment only to find out that I won't be able to use this product because there is not enough support for the aluminum slats. The slats, even when carrying only a small portion of the weight, bend down considerably. I am NOT risking a $32K chair on this carrier unless it can be properly and safely modified. I will now have to take it into a welder to add additional support under the slats and add a solid deck inside the basket. Would NOT recommend for any chair over 250 lbs and, even then, it would be pushing it.
