A dark rich color made from top quality wood. The grain is beautiful and the edges were not sharp. Very thick as well and I can tell it will hold up for even 50 years quite easily. You will need to take card of it through! Remember to condition it once a month and it will be in amazing shape for many years to come. Very happy with this Cutting Board and you will be too
