I have a small-medium cat and he loves it!  Yes, it's all made of foam and fleece (with a nice fluffy pillow inside) but it's very cozy and stable if you put it on the floor - I wouldn't put it on a shelf unit, like on the top of a bookcase, but on the floor is great.
